This Residence Inn is located approximately six miles from Salt Lake City International Airport and half a mile from Temple Square and Hogle Zoo. Lagoon Amusement Park is 13 miles away and ski resorts are within 25 miles. Hotel amenities include the pool, whirlpool, sports court, exercise room, complimentary breakfast, garden, and laundry facilities. The hotel offers valet laundry service, dinner delivery service from local restaurants, safety deposit boxes, a gift shop, and complimentary parking. All rooms have work desks, voicemail, dataports, high-speed Internet access, cable TV with in-room movies, weekday newspaper delivery, full kitchens, complimentary in-room coffee, irons, and hairdryers.Pet cleaning fee charged upon check in. The workers were engaging and friendly. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, something to look forward to in the morning. I didn't like the noise of helicopters and fire engines and traffic going by. Not sound proof enough. I did like the closeness to fine restaurants and the Gateway Shopping mall and theaters and the Salt Lake City Center and Temple.

Warning - on this property

Word of warning - do not stay in this hotel. The two times I have stayed at this hotel, the rooms have been less than tidy and I have had items taken from my room. The first time in Aug of 08, I had a 6 pack of water bottles taken from my room – when I requested that they be replaced; management asked me to “prove it” ??? The second time I stayed here in November of 08, I walked into a room, which still had excrement in the toilet bowl. I called the front desk, and was told, “Just flush the toilet-but we will send some one in the morning.” Perhaps, I am OCD, but I asked to be check out of the hotel and refunded my room rate – neither request was granted. I have been in a dispute with the hotel since, but I can assure you that my money has not been refunded. I understand that Marriott overall does a good job at their hotels and employees. However, The Residence Inn Salt Lake City – City Center is one of the worst ones I have stayed. It is a shame that a nice property is disparaged by the quality of their management.

Will Stay Longer Next Time

The location was perfect - close to everything on our list. Staff was friendly. Rooms were large and comfortable with all the amenities we needed.

A Great Stay

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very large and clean. The parking is a bit difficult with a large vehicle and the pool is very small, but over all, it was the best hotel we stayed at during our family vacation.
