General Morgan Inn, Greeneville

I am always exceptionally pleased by the support and assistance I receive from Robert Cantler and Julia Beach and the rest of the staff whenever I have a book signing scheduled at the Inn. It is the perfect place for a signing with it's elegance and yesteryear enviornment - I just love it. I want to thank everyone at the General Morgan Inn (GMI) who have been cordial and instrumental in my success and Rev. Ben Weems' success as authors selling our books. Going to lunch, dinner, and various special brunches throughout the year is always a treat and our servers are always polite - they are the best! This is a classy palce with superb etiquette and service. We love the Inn so much we've decided to get married there! I grew up in Knoxville and have family in Greeneville so I've stayed there many times. Yes, it is expensive but it is not a motel/hotel. It is a historic inn so obviously it would be more to stay there. If you can appreciate history and want a nice place to relax and eat then it is a great place to stay.

Everything looked new. Great beds! parking was very easy and convenient. Courteous service. Low rates. My National Guard unit placed me here, and I was very impressed.

Recently re-done beds are soft as pillows and the service is second to none. The resturant in house, Brumleys, is not only the only 3 star resturant in Greeneville but also has award winning chefs! They don't have a pool, because it is a historical hotel (one of three in TN) but they offer passes to two local athletic facilities--AMAZING. Highly reccomended and worth the value--109 also includes free parking and wireless internet. Truely an Experience you need if ever visiting the quaint town of Greeneville TN.

We just got home to NJ after attending a wedding reception held at the General Morgan Inn. The Inn was fabulous. Recently redone historical landmark. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was gourmet. The town is small but we enjoyed spending time in The gathering of friends crafts & gift mall and the Greeneville Antique Market. The only disappointing thing was the free breakfast. It was standard fare except for the fresh fruit salad. We would definitely return.

Creative dishes, but the wine list had me laughing-Fetzer????? LOL The strip joint mirror behind the bar, what are they thinking? It is obvious small time is trying to be cosmopolitan. For the locals it must be a grand place! Hotel is looking run down inside.
