very impressed with it all
sadly my stay wasn't very long but i loved everything about it. free breakfast, clean rooms, free wifi, workout center and laundry. i got everything i needed to get done in just a few hours! the gentleman who checked us in was very courteous and kind and offered us some free cookies. he let us know where everything was and even informed us of their weekday shuttle. my husband and i will most definitely stay next time we're in arkansas.

Beware of these crooks
By Pete, 2/11/09
We stayed there for a volleyball tournament to be near another family. They messed up my friend's reservation (she was arriving a day later than we were), booked someone else in her room and then would not allow us to leave when we all discovered that we would be staying in different hotels. She arrived after lunch and they wouldn't let me check out (since I had missed the deadline) without charging me a half day for the extra two hours. Every hotel in the area was booked and she was going to have to move to the outskirts of town and they could have re-rented our room five minutes after we walked out. The front desk admitted that it was their error but their greed kept them from providing adequate customer service...stay somewhere else.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
I went to Ft. Smith on the anniversary of my husband's death. I was sure we wouldn't have any problem getting a room. I had never stayed at the Aspen, but decided to check there too. The lady at the front desk explained they had only one room, the Presidential Suite. I was desparate not to have to return home on that night, so I took the room. My two children, ages 15 & 8, were with me. We were so impressed with the room. The staff there were so nice and helpful. We even had a complimentary breakfast the next morning that was great...sausage, biscuits, and gravy. I will definately stay here again!

We've stayed several times
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/13/07
The staff is friendly and accomodating. The breakfast buffet has a wide assortment of both hot and cold items. The rooms have recently undergone renovation and were not in bad shape before. It is our place of choice in the area.

Best Location in Fort Smith
By Joe S, 1/23/07
This hotel has got to have the best location in Fort Smith, they're within walking distance of several great restaurants which always makes for an easy dinner. The rooms are always clean and the service is great, I agree with the other reviews that the extra pillows on the bed are wonderful.

Great Stays Every Time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/06
I've been travelling to Fort Smith for several years for business, and the Aspen never lets me down. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, and after a long day it's a nice place to come back to.

Will not stay again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/06
I stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon. The girls that worked the front desk were nice, but everyone else was very rude. You would think if you were paying that much for a room they would be a little more helpful. I was just very disappointed. The breakfast was horrible and the staff was just wandering around aimlessly and talking amongst themselves. They did not smile and they sure didn't greet any of the guests. My honeymoon was supposed to be a good memory, but I did not get one staying at this hotel.

Everything's always perfect.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/3/05
The staff is friendly and helpful and they always remember me. The food on sunday mornings is wonderful. the hotel is super clean and quiet. It's centrally located but is just far enough off Fort Smith's main road so that it's quiet and feels secluded. Ive been there at least a dozen times in the past two years, probably more, and have never once had a problem. Ive never tried their internet connection - I go there to get away from work. I work at home and that's my only defense!

We never stay anywhere else in Ft. Smith.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/05
All the staff are so friendly and helpful without fail. I'm not there very often but they remember me and are always polite. Last month when I was there, the hotel was full, mostly out-of-town families there for baseball tournaments for 11- and 12-year-old boys and one younger age group. My kids are grown, but I remember those days so well! I didn't know one single soul there, but it was just like a big party or a family reunion. I had a wonderful time visiting with the moms and dads and some of the baseball players and their siblings while I waited for my friend to join me. It brought back some nice memories. Now I did not see so much as ONE ill-behaved child, but any time a hotel has that many children around, that has to cause extra work and extra trouble. I think all the hotel staff had just as much fun with these kids and their families as I did. i also like the Aspen because it's quiet, private, always very clean, and it's just a nice upscale hotel, at least for our area.

Great Suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/23/05
I stayed at this hotel on my wedding night. It was very romantic. We stayed in the Presidental suite, it had a FULL sized hot tub in the room, two shower heads in the shower, a fire place in the bedroom and living room. I was very impressed and especially for the price. Very nice room.
