Northrock Suites, Wichita

My husband & 3 kids stayed in a two bedroom suite. I thought it was great and affordable. I liked the extra room for the kids. We enjoyed the pool and the buffet breakfast. We used to stay here years ago before we had kids and liked it then. We are staying there again this month.

the hotel is clean , and comfortable-- have stayed several times since oct 2009 my husband was severly injured in a work accident, and has been seeing a dr in wichita- hotel gives us a medical discount and goes out of their way to help------was goin to stay at the new motel on kellogg but they would not take a prepaid visa- claimed we might steal something-- so back to northrock suites-- bigger room and no problem with my credit card!!! will always stay there!!!!!!! stayed every month since oct 09---is now june 2010

I've stayed at North Rock suites several times and have always felt comfortable there. The rooms are always clean and well-appointed. The breakfast bar is varied and tastey. The location is ideal as it is right off of I-35 and Rock Road.

My mother was at the Kansas Heart Hospital and I asked the nurse which hotel we should stay at and she had heard that Wichita Inn North gave a hospital discount-come to find out, it was only a $2 discount, but it was the cheapest hotel in the area. The hotel room was very nice and the bed was comfortable but the service was TERRIBLE!!! My husband went to the front desk at 9:30 and asked for a couple of extra pillows and the desk clerk said "NO". He was the only person there and wouldn't leave the front desk. We tossed and turned all night because we weren't comfortable without the extra pillows. Then, at 7:30 the next morning, the housekeepers were rolling their loud carts up and down the halls, hollering Spanish and woke us both up. They knocked on the door at 8:00 asking if we were ready for the room to be cleaned. why can't they wait until we check out before knocking on our door. We went to the Holiday Inn Express down the road the next night and only spent $10 extra dollars and the service and room was wonderful!!!

I haven't been yet and i was wondering what did you really think of the place??????? Since these people are making me write 25 words or more i will write this extra bit so that i can send it and hope to find out interesting information.

We have been staying at Northrock since it opened. The staff was friendly, the service good, and the people tried their best to make everyone comfortable. Every stay was wonderful until the summer of 2005.And then things really changed. The service is less friendly. Now, at least 99% of the help is new and they act like they're afraid to say or do anything out of line for fear they'll get fired, they can't visit with or welcome customers, just like they're walking on eggshells constantly. Other changes are also apparent. The breakfast no longer has fresh fruit, or muffins. Maintenance is not performed. The experience was bad. I will think twice, three or four times about going back.

Really liked the room and the hot tub. The buffet in the morning is great! Rooms were very clean and the reception at the front desk was very welcoming.

Recently, things have changed. The service is less friendly. Room price quotes are changed, we were quoted a rate of $64.00, and charged $73.00. When questioned the clerk said it was at the express instruction of the manager. Other changes are also apparent. The breakfast no longer has fresh fruit, or muffins. Maintenance is not performed. The experience is bad. I will think twice about going back. Bill

Very friendly service. The contintental breakfast was better than mom's Sunday brunches!

This hotel has absolutly horrible service and people. We reserved the hot tub room for our anniversary. The hot tub didn't even work, they never told us that no kids were allowed and they watched us bring in our two yr. old when we checked in, we had so many problems with this place. We ended up leaving without staying the night. They wanted to charge us full price even though our hot tub didn't work. They basically kicked us out, wouldn't even give us a discount or anything and extremly rude people even the manager we talked to.
