Anything Convenient..forget it!
By Kiersta, 10/8/10
I would NOT recommend this to anyone! Curly hairs in the tub, next to the sink & on the dresser (GROSS!) next to the candy wrapper. The beds are stained as well as the pillow. The dressers are sticky and smudged. The shower was clearly not cleaned properly. The toilet was clogged and I was handed a plunger when I asked them to fix it. The hallways and room smelled like a TV dinner, the pool was closed as well as no movie rentals. The elevator only fits you and the luggage wrack. Last but not least, tight parking and only one front entrance.

Wouldn't recommend it...
By Joy, 2/22/10
When I first got there the location and lobby were nice. I was a little concerned about the parking as you were actually only able to use the front door to enter the motel. The hallways were clean however the rooms really needed the vacuum ran. They cleaned the tables with something that was streaky and sticky. If you are planning on watching tv I would suggest somewhere else as the channels are very limited. The first night we were there the pool was kind of cloudy however they did clean it Saturday morning and it was better. The jacuzzi was nice. And the price was great however I would've rather paid a little more to have cleaner rooms. As a courtesy when we were getting ready to leave, we stripped the beds as my family and I manage a small motel. The beds were stained and so were the bedspreads...when was the last time they were washed? The manager at the front desk was not the most pleasant person to speak to either. Also, the toilet was clogged and when I asked to have it fixed she said all she can do is give me a plunger. I also spoke to the manager stating that I only wanted towels in the morning that I would make the beds and she was arguing with me about it. I was still in the room when housekeeping came to my door and they just opened the door without knocking. What would've happened if I was not properly dressed? Then I again stated that I only wanted towels and they still just walked in. So by this point I was getting upset, so I figured if they were insisting on being in the room I insisted that they ran the vacuum however that was a waste of time considering that she missed most of the rug. She did like 3 swipes and it was obvious that it needed more work.

what's that smell?
By Man2th, 1/29/09
Stayed here for the Scranton marathon--everything else was booked. At least it was cheap. The hotel was grungy, the restaurant closed, the location inconvenient, and everything in the room was broken or dirty. And then there was a foul smell in the rooms and hallway. Ugh.

Disappointed
By Melissa, 9/19/08
Not very happy with this hotel. We booked it mostly because of the jaccuzi. In the first room, the A/C didnt work, so they moved us next door. This was fine. Our floor had no air conditioning what-so-ever, the elevator was out of order for an entire day, the pool was very cloudy with a dirty area, the restuarant area was completely shut down (signs posted of renovations but looked like a ghost town) also no A/C in the lobby area or dining area. Breakfast left much to be desired considering you had to pay for the coffee and items weren't refilled. All in all, it's an ok place to have to spend 1 night but we had to stay 4 nights and it definitly wasn't worth the money.

1 night stay is good stopping point
By AngeliaV, 8/4/08
We traveled through Scranton on our way to New England. It was a good 1 night stop. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Basic Hotel. Clean. A little worn here and there. Fine for a 1 night stay. Can't beat the price. Hotel was booked. Many hotels booked in Scranton the weekend we stopped. Book ahead. Staff was very friendly.

My Days Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/07
The reason I really would recommend Days Inn because the breakfast was excellent, they offered HBO,and Showtime, and the jacuzzi was comfortable.I wouldn't recommend Days Inn is because one thing is the hotel used to be Holiday Inn,and they left the sign right by the pool area wre you can actually see it,and a million bugs were coming threw a big hole in the screen thats for a garden or something. The sheets didn't stay on the bed, but the location was very helpful for me and my family though.

Very Disappointed!
By Kim L, 12/7/06
We recently stayed at this hotel and were quite disappointed. Our primary reason for chosing this hotel was the jacuzzi suite. When trying to fill the jacuzzi, the water trickled out of the faucet. It would have taken hours to fill at that rate. We were put in another room and learned after filling the tub, the jets did not work. We were also put in a smoking room after I made a reservation for non-smoking. The room was dirty & you could hear every sound in the adjoining rooms! This continued until 3 am! We were on the 4th floor and could hear the live entertainment downstairs in the lounge! Also during our stay, my boyfriend was not able to access an outside line for his computer to dial in to a work customer who was having a problem. The breakfast they offered was not very appetizing, the lobby was dirty & the girl at the front desk left us waiting several minutes to check in while she was obviously on a personal phone call. Overall, we were quite disappointed in the entire experience and will not ever be returing there nor would I recommend this place to anyone. On a brighter note, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Texas Road House (nearby) and a great hockey game at the Wachovia Center in Wilkes Barre.

Don't stay here. They didn't even get the basics right.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/06
Horrible hotel. The sheets didn't stay on the bed, the shower curtain was moldy, the towels were dirty, toilets didn't flush right, elevator was broken, no security, and more.

The price is right
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/05
For the price it was a nice place to stay. Good location. Free breakfast not that great.I would not recomend the eggs homefries or sausage. The danish was good. Instant sanka decaf was the only decaf available.

Nice place to spend a night!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/05
This was a very nice place to spend a night. It was affordable and clean. They had a refrigerator in the room and a restaurant on the premises. Room service is also available although we didn't order anything. Sure it's not a pristine environment, but I wouldn't call it "dirty" or "unclean". Our only complaint was that most of the games in the game room didn't work and it was extremely difficult to find quarters for the games. This is a friendly, quiet place to stay and well worth the cost.
