Pass on this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/08
Outdated apts. need a good update and clean. Our pull out sofa looked worn out and unclean. Glad we didn't have to use it. Toilets had to be flushed several times after use ! Blanket supplied for sofa bed needed to be replaced as it was old and worn out also. Woman who runs the place was rude to us regarding guest that came to visit us... yes we had asked permission and even given a parking space for them! Location was great though.

Awesome resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/06
After staying at the Tradewinds for the past couple of years we stumbled upon the Gulf Beach Resort. What a difference. It only has about 20 units and that makes for a nice relaxing day at the pool or beach. The units are a nice size, very clean and well furnished and stocked. We have stayed there twice and brought 3 other families with us this past stay, They all loved it and are planning return trips. One of the nicer places we have stayed in Florida.

The Best Place on the Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/06
I love the Gulf Beach Resort. We have been staying there for many years. Everyone is very friendly and it's close to everything. Not only is it on the best beach in the world, it's the best place to stay. Stephanie Giffor

We go back every year!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/05
We love this resort. It's usually pretty quiet and family-oriented. The location is perfect for getting groceries, restaurants, and walking forever on the beautiful beach. It would be nice if the pool area had more lounge chairs. The average is one chair per unit. Most units have 2 - 4 people in them. Some days you can't find a chair by the pool. The units are nice, but could be a little cleaner. A few times there was still dust on the furniture and the kitchen floor was sticky. We also found dirty dishes in the cupboard once. Someone just needs to check up on the housekeeping. We will definitely keep going back though.

gulf beach resort
By JR, 07/01/04
We stayed here in Nov 2003 and we were very happy with our room. There was a nice kitchen, 2 bathrooms each with a tub and shower, a huge master bedroom and the couch made into a bed. The beach was awesome. The only downside was the pool was not huge. The price was reasonable and it was not a noisy spot. You could get groceries across the street. It was great for families.
