Reviews are outdated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/08
This hotel became a Hilton Garden Inn in 2007. All guest rooms and public areas were completely updated. It is very clean and modern. The pool has been completely re-done as well.

Unsanitary
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/08
The main problems with this place are cleanliness and the rude stuff. When I checked in I found one of the glasses in my room had lipstick on it. If they didn't wash the glasses what else didn't they wash? I ate in the restaurant and while eating noticed the staff didn't even wipe down tables in between. To add to that, they were moping next to my table while I tried to eat! The staff is rude, and I question whether this place even meets health regulations (at least in the restaurant!) I thought this was a Hilton! Could have fooled me, it could have passed for a cheap motel.

Grumpy greeting ... and it didn't get any better
By Julie, 01/01/07
The front desk staff member who booked us in bordered on just plan rude. Our initial room was hot, airless and small(and certainly not number controlled beds) but the delightful young lady on the front desk the next day kindly changed our room ... though it was strange that our travelling companions who booked at the same time and arrived at the same time were given the superior accommodation (larger room, control beds, view) from the first. While the Hotel provided wireless internet connection, it didn't help that it had a major worm problem for the week were were there and kept infectiong our computer. Being in the City Center meant that everything closed down after business hours and the skyways were a rather daunting and desolate walk after dark.

Decent hotel, horrible housekeeping & night staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/06
I should have heeded the warnings from previous reviews, but no, I had to find out for myself. The location of the Radisson City Center St. Paul was awesome. It was within walking distance of everything the quaint town has to offer. The hotel has been recently updated with "sleep number" beds--wonderful! However, the overnight front desk staff was not so wonderful and neither was housekeeping. We arrived on Saturday. The toddler with us ate potato chips that evening. When I relaxed in the same area of the hotel room two days later, chip crumbs were still on the floor. Sunday night when we returned to the hotel room, we noticed that the bathtub hadn't been cleaned. There were still specks of hair from shaven legs the day before. The bathroom tiles had mold and mildew. (By the way, the swimming pool has been cleaned and sanitized with chlorine.) This was my first time staying in St. Paul and I will definitely look for another hotel to patronize when I return to the city.

Retro hotel for a retro girl
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/06
For a change of pace, I got a hotel in downtown St. Paul on business. The hotel realizes that it is in a downtown area, however, it is not overly posh, and as a result, very reasonably priced. Some aspects of the hotel could use a bit of updating, but the room, in it's pink '80s elegance, suited me just fine. My two most important needs, cleanliness and a good bed, are easily met. My only complaint was a metal soap dish in the shower that probably needs to be replaced, but it's fixed into ceramic tile--not a cheap fix. Otherwise, it's like I'm staying in an opulent hotel in 1985...at 1985 prices!

Excellent value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/05
We enjoyed the hotel, clean with a very helpful staff. The rooms were spacious and we loved the sleep number beds. Great location, with-in walking distance to any event.

The pool needs cleaning
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/05
The rooms have been recently redecorated at the Radisson City Center. The room was pleasant and clean, and the "sleep number" bed was very comfortable, if no great bargain, even on a weekend. My biggest disappointment was the condition of the pool. It had a large filthy ring around the entire edge, and the water was cloudy. For the price, I expect better.
