Thought that I was getting a good deal.

I chose this hotel because the prices were fair and the location was perfect for spending the weekend in St. Louis. The woman working the desk during the day was wonderful; She definitely knows what customer service should be. I had no complaints until the day of checkout. There was a women in the lobby, that I was later informed was a "friend of the owners", that stood there with her arms crossed and a stern look on her face. I have a 2 year old that was fascinated by the door, that lead behind the desk because it didn't latch. I was trying to check out, and keep an eye on my child. I asked my child 2 times to get away from the door, and as my mother went to get her, but before she had a chance, the women with the stern appearance walked to the door, place her hand on my child's arm, and nudged her away from the door. This was completely inappropriate. The women walked through the door and came right back out, and then stood behind me as I finished checking out.; Again with her arms crossed. Needless to say, I was very uncomfortable, and have no intentions of staying again. There are plenty of hotels nearby with comparable rates.
The pool was cold; The hot tub jets weren't working properly, I found a dingy mess shirt in a dresser drawer; The ice machine drain smelled of rotten eggs. My online reservations stated that check out was at 1200, along with the sign on the back of the door, so when house keeping knocked on the door a little after 11 inquiring if we were checking out, I found myself rushing around to finish packing. I was then informed that the policy had recently changed; Check out was at 11...it was printed on the channel index, and there was a sign somewhere behind the front desk.
