Sleep Inn Charleston, Charleston

Pros: Warm staff, efficient check-in/out. A good value at $80. Right off the I-64. Super comfortable beds. Rooms a bit small compared to other S.I. hotels, but clean with immediate hot water, and most have a fridge. Nice breakfast. Has a business area with a color printer. Offers laundry facilities for $1. Efficient, modern ice machines. Cons: Though well-lit, the parking is only on the lobby side of the hotel (the other side backs on to the turnoff ramp with a view of a cement wall). Little to do in the area. Overall, a recommended stop.

The staff was so courteous to our group. We had to call several times over a week period as we kept needing to add more rooms. Every time, we talked to courteous front desk staff. Janet Cruise, assistant manager(?) was terrific. She extended every courtesy to us and made sure every need was met. The restaurant had good food at good prices. The rooms, lobby, and breakfast room were very clean. The continental breakfast was great. We plan to return every year!

The staff was very friendly & very helpful! I would not stay anywhere else when I visit Charleston! I love the free breakfast, and the comfortable room.
