Super Value Inn, Fredericksburg

On a road trip to FL my husband and I stayed here for one night. Everything seemed ok, not super clean but what you expect for that price. The next day we realized we were covered in bites- every inch of skin that was exposed had been eaten. I spent the rest of our vacation worrying about the bites (I'm pregnant) and hoping they weren't bed bugs. They were fleas, which I guess is better than bed bugs, but we know know my husband is allergic to flea bites! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dirty room, no blankets on the beds. Advertise rooms for $37,was informed that was for a single bed. No single avail, only double - $52 -only 1 light worked in room, cords & bulbs were missing. Room wasn't clean - food crumbs under tables and chairs. Bottom line, sleep in your car, keep driving or go across the street to the super 8.

We have stayed at this motel several times going to Kitty Hawk. We have found the room very clean, very comfortable and the people who run it are great. We have not stayed at the other motels. Prices were higher at them. Continental Breakfast was good. Just like other places.

From the motel description, I expected this to be a nice motel. We were very disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pool was clean, but that is about all I can offer that is positive, and we have stayed at MANY motels in various states. The pool was not heated, and the deluxe continental breakfast consisted of a generic raisin bran or corn flakes, plain white bread, instant oatmeal, and watered down apple juice. If you didn't drink coffee, juice was the only other choice of a beverage. There was a gallon of milk that guests had to pass around for the cereal. No donuts, etc. The rooms had stained sheets, mismatched furniture,and hard beds. The smoke detector was hanging by a wire.
