Stay somewhere else
By Zach, 8/23/11
What will I remember about the Hard Rock Las Vegas? My smartphone disappearing from the room while I was at the pool, and then having to spend part of my vacation at the Verizon store. Management could care less about it. I got strung along for a week while they "looked into it", and then they wouldn't respond to a simple voicemail about the status of it. Moral of the story? The Hard Rock could care less about their guests, despite the fact my group spent $5,000+ there for the weekend. It is disappointing, and I will be telling everyone I know that they should stay somewhere else.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/11
Where to start? I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas for new years and would like to post my experience. The first night, New Years Eve, was alot of fun right off of the plane. And I was in a rush looking forward to my stay on the strip. But then we checked in. Prices were high, but the staff had been pleasant. That lasted only so long. In just short of 12 hours our room had been broken into. My perscription medicines, wallet, including my identification and many other cards were stolen. In addition to those items was a new coat costing in excess of $300. The wallet and cards were eventually returned, but only after the cards had been cancelled and one had been broken nearly in half as a result of what I presume to be the individuals frustration that they could no longer be used. However, my identification was never recovered. The friend I had been staying with had his laptop, costing over $1,500, stolen. According to the hotel security they couldn't help us. Rather they simply brought to our attention that the hotel did not find it pertinent to install cameras in the hallways. Or request that they even moved from their desk to assist us. I suppose that is just the value they place on the security and safety of their guests. So the question. Would I stay there again? Absolutely Not!!

never again!
I recently returned from my first trip to Las Vegas, and I must say that while I loved Vegas, I hated the Hard Rock. If you enjoy being around obnixious drunk 20 something's, then this is the place for you! As a 40yo, I've learned my lesson about this place. Vegas again..absolutely! Hard Rock...ah hell no! Likes: the room...very comfortable bed, nice shower, nice big flat screen tv. But no coffee maker in room, so be preparred to shill out big dollars for that every morning! the decor...if you like rock and roll...they have some very cool pictures and memorabilia to check out Dislikes: Where do I begin lol?!!! And believe me, I'm not a particularly picky person. The pool.....very beautiful, but absolutely no chance of getting a chair anywhere. Twenty four dollar mixed dricks...10bucks for a beer. And you always have the pleasure of getting searched (that's right) patted down, when walking from one pool to another! Super obnoxious 20 somethings stumbling all over the place...so relaxing not! pool closes at 6pm. Unfriendly staff....hey I've had jobs where I've had to deal with the public, and I can understand how people can become jaded, but please know your role and at least make an attempt. Other than a nice blackjack dealer, one bartender, a pit boss, coffee station girls, and the rental car woman...I pretty much dealt with a bunch of a-holes there. Hate to be so blunt but it's true. Casino.....it sucks, poker room only had 1 maybe 2 tables going a night. blackjack, a few with higher limits than what u would expect from vegas. sportsbook is a joke...need I go on? No peace and quiet....maybe I shouldn't have expected that...but I was hoping to relax by the pool once in a while. Or at least sit down and have a cup of coffee somewhere anywhere secluded. Always nice to have to walk around a bunch of drunk moron punk everywhere you go too! I was so happy once I left that hotel, but it is far from the strip....so you have to taxi cab it. I absolutely loved the strip, and freemont street at night, it was depressing to have to go back to the Hard Rock afterwards. Bottom line...go to Vegas, its a lot of fun...but, avoid the Hard Rock!

a great unique hotel
By G-money, 6/29/10
i've stayed at the Hard Rock when in Vegas since Jan '96...it's gone through many changes, just like every other Vegas hotel. the staff has always been top notch, the casino tower rooms were just re-vamped, flat screen tv, new bed linens, new carpet. if you go there with the mind set, hip, fast, & extreme then you picked the right place for fun. rock music, cocktails, gambling & lots of eye candy, what more does one need for a play hard time? can't wait until oct for another visit!

HORRIBLE PEOPLE, PRICING, EXPERIENCE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/2/10
i was hoping my 1st experience in vegas would be great, but the staff was shockingly rude, drinks were extremely expensive, front desk clerks were incompetant. I was charged twice for my stay. I paid origionally online, then when they tried to charge me at checkout i showed i had already paid, they gave me my receit with no charges besides taxes, then when i got home saw they had taken out the stay fee still. This hotel gave Las Vegas a bad name.

Never again, suggest you pick another vegas hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/10
Rude Staff, I've never seen staff so ready to physically fight the guests as the new Hard Rock in vegas. They also actually open up and search your luggage to make sure your not bringing any outside food or drink to your room. They confiscated our Red bull, even though they dont sell it at the hotel, bringing in your own licqour or beer/wine is out of the question. Lots of hidden charges, and just plain fraudulent charges show up on your credit card, and a manager can never be found to fix the issues Long wait at Rare 120 Steak house for overpriced food with small portions. Same at Nobu. We were treated poorly almost everywhere at the Hard Rock, We were searched again just going from our room to the pool, they actually patted us down, even though we were wearing shorts. Its more intrusive than security at the airport. Costs of food and drinks at the pool is very Expensive. drinks start at $18, a six ounce bottle of water was $6, and you cant bring your own, even if its purchased in the hotel store. the rooms are beautiful, but they seem to be having some maintenence issues, (TV and Electrical ) and problem getting cleaning staff, our room ran out of toilet paper and after a entire day, couldnt get more, we actually had to ask some other guests to get some.

NEVER AGAIN! WORST EXPERIENCE!!
By Danielle Orth, 1/1/10
Staff was extremely rude and patronizing. Made false promises like a free shuttle to the strip when there wasn't any. Got stuck with a 2-queen room then a smoking room when requested a non-smoking king. Overall worst birthday experience ever!

like a fallen rockstar
By Levintofu, 7/11/09
what once use to be the young and hip place to stay is now looking old and ratty, with POOR service... and i really need to highlight that as it took almost a HOUR to get out of a 2000 person show. why you ask? well due to the corrupt valet/limo service they will deliberately hold up taxi's and make you wait long enough to get frustrated enough to take the overpriced limo/private SUV's which involves some elaborate kick backs... either way be prepared for hundreds of drunk horny frat boys to descend like acid rain on Fridays for "rehab" which is as loud and obnoxious as the crowd that it attracts.... the hotel is getting old and needs a new lick of paint badly. Don't expect to be waited on while gambling, even if your sitting at the BAR! and the staff are trained to be rude to paying patrons. the machines are tight even for on strip standards so off strip they are a right rip off. and if you love the sound of airplanes all round the clock then you've picked the perfect hotel, as for the rest of us the best advice i have is STAY AWAY you're better off ANYWHERE else in vegas.

The Worst Parking in Las Vegas!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/09
I went to a concert at The Joint at the Hard Rock. It took 90 minutes to get out of the parking lot! Unbelievable! Customers in the parking building could not believe it. If you go to the HArd Rock, don't plan on leaving in your car.
