The place was really dirty. You could smell mold. Theres bugs in the bathtub.

The room was so small you couldn't swing a dead cat around and not hit a wall. There wasn't anything in the room that wasn't broken! When you sat down to use the towlet your knees were hitting the wall. Stay in Harrisburg! It's about the same price and the drive over wasn't only 15 minutes!

I must admit I was scared to death about what this place would look like after all the reviews I read.When I arrived I realized I had reason to be scared. The place looked old and dingy. Yes it was about 1 mile from Hershey but trust me your better off finding someplace else. The room was so small only the 2 of us in the room had no place to walk. We literally had to lie on the bed for space. The bed was comfortable for the pros and they did provide us with donuts and coffee in the am. I would not stay here again unless every hotel in hershey or harrisburg is sold out. Sometimes saving money is not worth the uncomfortable feeling you have when you try to sleep in a place like this. The worst part yet is I believe people actually live there. They hung out in front of the rooms and socialized watching people come and go.

We stayed in Red Carpet Inn Hershey for four nights. Locations is great, service is nice. Hershey Attractions only 5 minutes away. Great dining nearby. Price low. And now about the room. My husband and I traveled with two kids and we got the two rooms ( that was awesome) , two beds, two dressers, two TVs. Most the things in the rooms need upgrade like TVs, Ac's, microwave and fridge. The beds where very uncomfortable with springs sticking out, sheets and towels stained. Carpet so dirty that 5min after my kids took shower they feet were black. Water marks on slings and spiderweb in corners, mold in the bathtub. We had two chairs in the room glued together and there was glue everywhere on the chairs , carpet and it was still scared to seat on them. I'm hoping that one day they will clean the rooms and add few new things to make the stay more pleasure. I wish I can put some pictures to my review .

My mother in law booked this hotel for us based on the money that I wanted to spend for a 2 day trip to Hershey. I read the reviews on here and was quite scared of what I was going to find once we got there. Most of the reviews were right. The location was great. The staff was nice. We were supposed to arrive Saturday but we decided to go down Friday night, at the last minute I called and they allowed me to come early which was actually 11pm, which they had no problem with. It did have cable TV. The fridge and microwave worked well. So for the negatives. The room was tiny. The bed was harder than sleeping out on the sidewalk. I think my 2 yr old was the only one who slept ok. The carpet was dirty. The AC was loud(although it did work). My cubical at work is larger than the bathroom. The toilet was loud when u flushed it. The toilet seat broke but they did replace it without us saying anything when they came in to clean. The tub was super small and really loud when the water was running. There were cobwebs in the windows. Mold around the bathroom. I was scared one of the lights was going to catch fire. I swore they didnt give us fresh towels although my husband said they did but they were just stained, which to me is still pretty gross. The sheets on the bed were old, didnt smell though. The pillows were flat. All in all, I wont stay there again but if ur on a budget, its not that bad for maybe one night to crash.

We just spent four nights at this motel. After reading some of the reviews I was quite "scared" but then I was pleasantly surprised when I went into my room. Clean and decent. Bed was comfortable. Water was hot. Manager was kind. Vending machine worked well. OK, the sink is very small and so are the bathroom and the bathtub, but if you are not exaggerately overweight you'll be fine! :-) Last but definitely not least, we asked the manager if we could leave our luggage in the room for 2-3 more hours after checking out: he agreed and did not even ask us for an extra charge! My husband and I would definitely sleep at this motel again,

Let me start with the positives: Excellent price - we paid $80 a night for 5 people and our room had three beds. Location - less than a 5 minute drive to Hershey Park, restaurants, etc. It did have A/C and parking was free. Now let's talk about the negatives: The Bed - if you like to sleep on something even remotely comfortable, go someplace else! All three "mattresses" in our room had the springs poking through fabric. Lumpy does not begin to describe it. The second night we slept at the foot of the bed and it was a little better. The Pillows - I have seen gauze padding thicker than the pillows. The Bathroom - the mold was not really bad, but it was there and you didn't have to look for it. Noise - our room was one of the few that we situated below other rooms. The people in the room above us must have been having a dance contest or something because the noise was pretty bad. Service - great if you are a man. My wife's friend asked for some ice and extra towels and got about 10 pieces of ice and a dirty look regarding the towels. I went back and asked for the exact same thing and had no problem getting a full bucket of ice and extra towels. The ice machine is not available to the guests. To sum up, if you are used to staying at a HoJo or Holiday Inn, you will be very disappointed. If you are used to staying in your Uncle's basement guest room, then you will be fine.

The manager does not speak english well. Told us that there would be a discount aith AAA when we arrived and then would not honor it when we arrived. The a/c units have never been cleaned. Only one towel in the bathroom and to get another another was harder than pulling teeth. No ice machine on the grounds. The only ice available was locked in the back of the office that the manager handle with his bare hands. The carpet had remains of someone throwing up and had to be cleaned up by us since the housekeepers were not available. Ths was the first day and only at 6pm.

i have stayed at this hotel twice and both times had a good experience. It's location is about a mile from Hershey Park which is great! And for $60 it is worth every penny. If you are looking for a luxury hotel for $300 a night then don't stay here, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower this hotel is perfect! the staff there is very accomodating. i was not going to be arriving until 3am because i was traveling far and they were very understanding and came right down when i rang the bell. I would 100% stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone.
