Holiday Inn University Plaza, Bowling Green

This is one of the best Hotels I ever stayed in. I could not believe how great everyone is and I even notice the staff talking and interacting with guest as well as people who come in and out that appear to be residents of the town. Top notch friendly customer service. Plus anything you ask for, they get it for you!

I am a 24 year old Professional Glamour Model that attended SO-MOD Southern Models Expo and Entertainment Convention in January. I could not have asked for a better place to stay and I have stayed in very expensive Hotels in New York, LA and Atlanta. This was the best experience for a small town mainly because of the friendly and very helpful staff.

This was a very expensive hotel The one chair in the room had a hole in it the size of a softball and the roll away bed they provided was broken and had peices of wood falling off of it. The Maids woke us up 3 times knocking on the door starting at 7am on sunday morning. I will never return.

My company has used the Holiday Inn University Plaza Hotel many times and we love it. The staff is the best in all of Bowling Green and the atomsphere is great. Our company recently hosted SO-MOD 2008 Southern Models Expo and Entertainment Convention which was a success based merely on the oustanding people of the Holiday Inn as much as anything. We have also done numerous test shoots as well as brought models, photographers and other guest to stay while shooting with us on location since 2004. The Hotel even let our film branch do a scene for Batman Date With Destiny which can be seen on YouTube with reference given to the Holiday Inn University Plaza Hotel where we were given permission to shoot in the Hartland Cafe at the Hotel. Without a doubt the place is the best in all of the town and we will continue to put our business where we are treated with world class service. Never have my personal team models or any guest ever say they didn't love this place.

Rooms were nice. We loved the opne sections of the Hotel. The resturant was very slow on service for breakfast. Also my 9 year old daughter got a bacterial skin infections from the hot tub at this Hotel.

The staff was very friendly but not plastic. We had a small room problem and they were fast to correct the issue and exceeded our expectations !! The food was great pool was clean and There were lots of "extra" channels to watch on the local cable. Wireless was exceptional as well. We will stay here everytime we come to Bowling Green to visit !!!! :)

We were not able to sleep almost all night after a 10 hour drive. There were several people shouting until 2:30 in the morning. There also was a huge stain in the carpet next to the bed when we arrived. It took well over 1 hour after being asked for pool towels so we left the area with out them.

Everything was great except for the fact that people did not heed the NO SMOKING sign in the pool area. Also, the pool area could stand a good scrubbing and bleaching. Other than that....everything is A-ok.

To be honest I haven't stayed in many hotels in Bowling Green. I grew up there so I always stay at home. However, I recently went to visit my family there and brought my own family along. Since my parent's have a very small house, we wanted to stay in a hotel. The Plaza, which was being built when I left for college, was well-known to me, and being conveniently located near the main strip of B. G. and my parent's house, it was my first choice. It did not disappoint us. Our stay was quite pleasant. The rooms were impressively large. Normally a room with two double beds usually leaves little for anything else; we still had enough space to cram a third bed in there which fortunately they did not try to do and instead had placed some chairs and a desk. The beds were quite comfortable, nothing amazing but nice. They have a decent but not stellar breakfast buffet where kids can eat free. The lobby and atrium areas are certainly spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, though I didn't see any actual couches just chairs, which would have come in handy for me on a few occassions. We had wireless internet access throughout the hotel and additionally an ethernet port in the room. They also have a nice indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna area, and the typical fitness room. The staff was friendly and helpful. To illustrate, when we first arrived, my wife was shocked to see that our non-smoking room reaked of smoke. We called the front desk, and they immediately apologized and sent us a key to a new room, on the top floor. Some things were not as good. They have the absolutely wonderful environmental policy, motivated probably more by profit, of not changing sheets and towels every day unless you request them. This is a major plus for me. However, when they came to make the bed they really didn't check it very well. My 2-year-old son had unbeknownst to us left crumbs in the bed before we left for the day and when we went to bed that night, we pulled the sheets back to see that they were still there. Of course, a quick wipe cleaned it off. All in all, it was a great stay, and we will certainly stay there again... unless my parents buy a bigger house.

One of western Kentucky's best hotels. The staff was very pleasant and accessible. The restaurant and bar were also very nice. There wasn't a food machine to be found after 9 pm, but that is very minor compared to everything else!
