Identity Theft Risk
By GREG, 8/1/11
I recently stayed at this hotel and upon check in was asked for my credit card and drivers license. They put my credit card on file whick is normal then they put my drivers license number into their computer. I asked that they remove that information and they refused. They said it was to ensure that there was no damage to the room during my stay. I asked that they remove that information at check out and after I returned home and they have refused. The only reason for holding that information is to fraudulantly sell or use in identity theft. There was no damage to the room and there was no reason to keep the personal information in their computer after I had checked out without incident. This is a warning to all DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL OR YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF IDENTITY THEFT.....The hotel industry is known for a high turnover in their employees and these people will have access to your personal information putting you at RISK. Dont ever give someone your personal information ....WARNING....DO NOT STAY HERE..

Don't ever stay here-0% satisfaction guarantee
My husband and I checked in about 6:30 p.m. There was no heat in the room and it was about 30 degrees outside. We turned the heat on only to get freezing cold air coming out of the room heater. After 1 hr we called the front desk and were told all rooms were heated the same so there was no reason to change rooms. We left our coats on and I walked down the hall. The people in the next room had no heat either (they also had their coats on with the door open). The hall thermostat was set at 68 degrees and it was warmer than in the rooms. We went to bed in our sweats and checked out at 4:30 a.m. at which time the room started to warm. I believe it was also 3 degrees below zero outside when we left, very unusual we were told. We complained again upon check out and asked about their 100% guarantee but was told "sorry" we need to talk to the manager. Her name & corporates phone # were given to us so once home I started calling the manager but she was never in. I called 5 times documenting all of them and asked that she call back. Never got one phone call returned. I called corporate and they asked that I keep them updated which I did. I also called the BBB and complained. We finally did get $40 in coupons from corporate which was about half of what it cost us and I was going to drop it. But in the meantime, a Guest Service Representative finally started to reply to the BBB and proceeded to claim we were a select few that was trying to get something for free. Obviously he doesn't have a clue about the rooms there and how long it takes when it's cold outside to start to warm up. He also refused to stand behind the "100% SATISFACTION GURANTEED". I called a friend of the family lawyer and he read all of my documents and we were told if we decide to pursue this he would be happy to help out. We could have the records pulled and the people in the next room to ours subpoened to testify what their room was like that night (if they stayed). Evidently this is how the guest representative likes to do business. We may need to proceed with this to prove this is not a "fraudulent claim" as stated to the BBB. Anyways the choice is yours but if I were you, I'd stay somewhere else and also read the other reviews posted here.

will 4 sure NOTTTTT go back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/09
we took our children here for cave tours. We booked a room for 2 nights.By debit card. They triple charged us,and i noticed they were writing my debit card numbers down on a blank small piece of paper which they tried to stick in their pocket it was two men, i asked what r u doing their faces turned beat red and they said nothing y.i said give me my debit card.they tried to refuse giving it back,i finally got it from them .I left went out to my car and called my bank. They had over 362 dollars they debited in holding on my card to come out the NEXT day.The bank said it was prob so they could pocket it for their own spending. So we had to wait for that money to come out of holding from our bank for 3 days.we had to reserve ANOTHER room somewhere else with just the money we had left couldnt use the money in holding bank said .so yea this hotel had a hold on all that money to spend on their own.my bank HOT CARDED my card.Thank God i was smart enuf to call them.It was my instinct i knew something was NOT right. So when we got home from our vacation i had to go to my bank close out my card so i could make sure they wouldnt use it for their own pleasure..I am telling all of you IFFFF you stay here..pay cash dont pay by check or debit or credit card..they are not trustworthy. My bank turned them in for fraud..for what its worth if i were you DONT stay HERE!!!! In the long run who knows what it will cost you!! they could possibly steal your identity..as you can tell by the date,,i waited to write this ...investigation was being made.

Will Never go back here again!
By LoniD, 7/10/08
I was charged 95.98 on my credit card, but I was told at the front desk that only 78.93 would be charged after the AAA discount and the problems I had with the room. They would not give me a receipt at the front desk. There was no shampoo and conditioner, apparently they were out of stock. And the fridge was busted. When I reported it, they told me it was in defrost mode. After 3 hours it was still not working, when I asked to be switched rooms, they refused. On top of that the staff is incompetent. I asked for a discount the night the fridge was broken and I could not get a different room, and I was told to speak to someone in the morning when I checked out. The next morning I waited a half an hour at the front desk, with a line of 6 people behind me. The man at the front desk said my card was charged at midnight, and that the discount should have been taken off last night (when I had asked for it). He spent a good half an hour frustrated over the computer, unable to refund me, and instead accidently adding extra $10 charges to my room, he could not even close my account to check me out. He told me they would take care of it in the afternoon and that I could leave, but I could not get a receipt because it would not be accurate. They have a postcard in the room that states that if you are not 100% satisfied they will give you a full refund of the room, well that's completely false advertisement. I will never stay in a Comfort Inn ever again.

Good place
By stacy, 8/31/07
My girlfriend and I had taken a trip to cave city to just tour the caves and attractions and had planned to stay at another motel we got to that motel the stay was horrible so we left..we found the comfort inn explainned what had happened and They we're very prompt with helping us out. The best part of our vacation was this hotel, it's a great place to stay, nice clean, big rooms and a very good breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here and plan on going back soon.

Why we wont be going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/07
My family of 4 had a reservation for a room with two queen beds and arrived for our stay. I stood in line behind 3 groups that arrived without reservations and they were provided with rooms. After checking in, we lugged our suitcases up the stairs to our assigned room, only to find a the staff just beginnning to clean it.The staff told us we could not leave our suitcases there while they cleaned. So down to the deck I go and ask why our room wasn't ready when we had a reservation, while 3 other groups arrived without reservations and had rooms that were ready. No explanation. We were given another room, that had no windows, and had two full size beds and no queen beds. The TV remote control didn't work. All of the ads for this hotel and its website said there was a heated outdoor pool. I asked if the pool was open and was simply told no, wihout further explanation. The pool was covered and obviously had not been used for some time. Other hotels in the area had outdoor pools and guests swimming in them. This was an unsatisfactory stay and we left a day early and won't be back.

Wouldn't recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/06
The rooms were clean, but I don't believe we got the queensize beds we paid for. They were only full size. The room was showing it's age. Also the "deluxe continental breakfast" was anything but deluxe. The breadfast room was too small, only about 8-10 people could fit, and the food offered was only minimal.
