don't stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/07
The only thing good was that it was cheap. I stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding there Dec.1, 2007. The room service consisted of the maid knocked and said "ya'll gone need anything today?" I asked for clean towels and she instructed me to gather up the dirty ones and she would give me clean ones. They were "out of washcloths" and still out at 10 PM.and acted like that was the norm. The floor had some sticky residue on the carpet, requiring shoes at all times. There was a staggering drunk on the balcony when we came in. The bedspreads were old and stained. Apparently people live there, they had grills on the porches, people sitting outside in their robes, etc.

Never Ever Again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/07
The sheets were not clean! Standard sized-pillow cases on king-sized pillows (YUCK!). The floor had not been vacuumed (in addition to the general trash and lint, there were sunflower seed shells, leaves, a penny, a gum wrapper, and plenty of dust on the floor). The furniture had not been dusted (with the exception of the top flat surface to the night stand, the desk, and the table, dust literally *coated* the furniture). The "air cleaners" had a layer of dust on them so think that they looked gray, not brown. The staff's attitude was initially nonchalant and then progressed to vaguely hostile. I took pictures of the bed, the floor, the furniture, and the air purifier with my cell phone and sent them—along with a detailed e-mail—to Choice Hotel’s corporate customer relations. Corporate was horrified and very helpful.

Would not recommend to anyone!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/07
First of all, the person at the front desk was very unsocial and though it was not 11pm when we arrived, she wouldn't let us through the front doors to pay her, we had to do it through a window. Then when we got in our rooms, there was no big mirror over our sink and there were patches on the wall were they covered up scratches or holes I guess but didn't take the time to make it match the rest of the paint. The worst part was when we lifted the pillows in the beds, there were mouse droppings on the sheets!! It was horrible. They did let me leave my vehicle there for week while we drove to the port with another couple to take a cruise. That was the only positive thing from the whole hotel experience!! If I could have given a lower score than 1, I would have.

I can't say I'd recommend it...
By MBA Mama, 12/11/06
I stayed here because it was the only hotel near my work site that had availability on short notice. When I arrived, there was a group of guys sitting in front of their room in lawn chairs drinking beer out of a cooler. A lot of people opted to park in front of their rooms instead of in parking spaces, making the parking lot like an obstacle course. On the plus side, the room was cleaned very well every day. The staff was nice enough. The rooms, however, were desperately in need of remodeling. The sheets were threadbare, as were the carpet and ironing board cover. The fridge had rust on top. One morning a guy came into the lobby and asked the front desk attendant what the nightly rate was. She told him $79. I reserved the room online and paid $60 per night. $79 would be a complete rip-off. $60 was pretty high, all things considered. I'd stay there again only if I had to.
