Somewhere to relax and unwind
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/08
Vero Beach is a gem in the Disney family that offers a place to relax and unwind after the hustle and bustle of the Parks and Orlando. Set on a fabulous beach we have watched as baby turtles begin their trip to the sea, watched Hurricane Katrina arrive in Florida , kayaked on the intercostal waterway all whilst enjoying the service levels that Disney prides itself on. If it can keep our son (aged12) happy for 2 weeks it must be doing something right.

The Best Vacation Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/07
Vero Beach is the place you will go and relax. This Resort is right on the beach the sand is warm and the water sparkels. There is mini golf, tennis, an arcade and much more. The resturants are awesome and the staff if very helpful. The resort is very clean and the resort is a step from the beach it is never crowded. The pool is amazing and the slide is great for the kids. I would also recommend going to see the near by baseball team play at there field it is just something extra to do. If you are looking for a five star resort for relaxation and some fun this is the resort for you.

I love it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/10/07
I loved it because when i was a kid, I would go there all the time and enjoy the company of Mickey Mouse and other disney characters. I also like how there is my Grand Fathers display in one room...Mel Fisher. I love the pool, and all activities they do with the kids. The whle place is just fancy, and huge, and just feels like home. What i dont like is the price. I guess sleeping in a huge hotel run by disney HAS to have a big price on the room.....yes.....uh, well, thats what i think about your wonderful hotel. we might be coming there this weekend. YAY!!!

Most relaxing vacations!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/07
We have been to Disney's Vero Beach Resort about 6 times and can't wait to go back again. The location is superb on a large beautiful beach. The accommodations are very nice; not elegant, but in keeping with the beach theme. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the food is great!

Welcome Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/06
It was great to see the "Welcome Home" sign as we pulled up to this gorgeous hotel after a long ride from Long Island, New York. From there, everything just got better. The weather was sunny and warm, the food was delicious, Mark at the poolside snack bar was friendly and patient, (even when we asked him what the drink of the day was at 9 a.m.!)and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I think that was the most comfortable mattress ever! A short drive away, we ate at Captain Hiram's in Sebastian which is a lively, locally popular place. We ended up eating there twice that week. Shutters was decent for dinner, better for breakfast. We will be returning in February and we look forward to it very much.

Wont be going back!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/05
stayed at this hotel because it was convenient to windsor where we were attending a wedding. Am aware we were staying out of season but when you are paying, guest should be considered!Noise around swimming pool area for two days was unbelievable, they were cutting trees with chain saws cleaning walls with high pressure machines and music blaring!!!!!! At night banging and moveing things around no thought for guest who were sleeping.Alas they were putting christmas tree and decorations up. And watch out for loaded telephone calls two minute call to London cost £17!!!!!!!!! Room was comfortable, but staff forgot two days running to replenish coffee. Staff were pleasant that the only positive thing I can say about this hotel definitely would not go back!!!!!!!

Best part of our vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/05
If you go here definately spend the extra money to get the ocean view room, it's worth it. We went to the Goofy breakfast and the food was the best out of all the character dining we had been to over the years. The waterslide was fun but it closed earlier than the pool. We saved 30% by using the coupon in the back of the Birnbaum's book. The beach was private but next time I think I would go when it is not turtle nesting season. It had that Disney magic but it wasn't overdone like some of the Disney resorts. I would rather stay on the real beach rather than the made up beaches in Orlando. Even though it rained on and off we still had tons of fun!
