Good location, better price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/10
For the money, I was very satisfied with my stay at this particular Inn. I travel to this area many times a year for film, as I shoot late into the night often. Coming from Raleigh, I wished I knew of this place 2 years ago! It's the perfect place to catch a good night's sleep. Clean rooms, and I stayed on a Friday night, and the place was quiet, which I really appreciated. Sure there are better Inns, but this place will be extremely tough to beat for the price. I have stayed in much worse places, that were unfortunately higher in price also. Nice sized refrigerator, microwave also. My ONLY real complaint was, I couldn't get online as my iTouch could not make a solid connection to the free wifi. Could have been a glitch, but the management did appear concerned. Most importantly, the next time I'm in this town for a film project, I will certainly use this Inn again.

WORST INN & SUITE
By Debra, 5/22/08
I MADE RESERVERATIONS FOR A WORK CREW. I SENT THE INFORMATION OF NAMES, AND CREDIT CARD FOR THE CORPORATION. I CONTACTED MR. PATEL AND VERIFIED THAT EVERYTHING WAS OKAY THAT HE HAD MY INFORMATION ANT THE ROOMS. WHEN MY CREW ARRIVED HE TOLD THEM HE HAD NO ROOMS AVAILABLE AND WOULD NOT EVEN LET THEM SEE A ROOM. THEY ARE GOING TO BE WORKING IN ABERMARLE FOR 4 WEEKS AND WE WERE TRYING TO GET A HOTEL THAT WAS COMFORTABLE IN PRICE AND FOR THE CREW. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE OR A DOG!!!!!HOTEL AT THAT.

We'll be back
By CaptElaine, 11/12/07
Owner very friendly and helpful. This is a perfect motel for folks on a tight budget. We were very pleased. We're on our way to stay there again next weekend.

Won't Be Back
By sharonc, 6/30/07
The management was friendly and quick to respond to our needs; however, bed linens were very old and shabby. Although a continental breakfast was advertised, we didn't see where there was any served. It was evident that the entire family resided on the premises and went about in an unprofessional manner. We didn't get the "usual" computer print-out for our bill. We just received a regular adding machine receipt. All-in-all, I guess we received what we paid for.

Might Give It Another Chance
By Betty, 5/30/05
We recently spent a few days in this hotel which overall is an average hotel. The sink and fridge in the room are handy, but having either paper or plastic cups would be nice. Although we had an ice bucket and coffee maker, we had no cups or coffee, as provided by most hotels. The room was clean with the exception of the bathtub. The bathtub needed a good scrubbing. At first glance I thought it was just stained until I took a washcloth and did a little scrubbing on my own. A lot of the scum came off onto the washcloth. Our room was near the stairs which I wouldn't recommend. Most of the night we were awakened by people stomping up and down the stairs. Apparently, the rooms do not have very much sound proofing. If we're in a pinch and need a motel room for a few days, I suppose we'll give this one another chance, cause overall, it wasn't a complete failure.

Studio One

We have stayed there several times now. We travel with NASCAR and stay all over, and for value/amenities, they rank #1 in our books. They have stovetops and refrigerators in most of the rooms, so if you're gonna be there for a few days make the most of it. However, they do not provide cookware or dishes (health guidelines). Enjoy!
