New management have their work cut out for them.

At least it was easy to find, right on Main Street just after you cross the river. As of May, 2005, there was a sign saying "Under New Management." Check-in was handled by a boy of 16 or 17 years who apparently never understood that I was staying two nights, not one. The supposedly non-smoking room smelled of tobacco; I later observed staff smoking while cleaning one of the other rooms. Sheets on the bed were clean, but most everything else was dusty or mildewed; the insect in the bathtub was a nice touch. There was no weatherstrip under the door, so air, noise, and bugs could come right in. Walls & floor were paper thin and sound traveled very well; I could hear a nearby guest snoring, and I'm sure the creaky floor was quite annoying to the guest downstairs. I did appreciate the cable TV with HBO, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. The room was $50 a night; I don't know what they charge for a suite.
