Riverside Inn Dallas, Dallas

We live here in town, and during this snow storm, our side of the town was out of power and had to go to a hotel to stay warm at. We came here, and it was great. Nice, clean rooms. Everyone was very helpful, great family people. For the price, it was a good deal. Best western is expensive, when it comes to times like these and needs a place to stay for several days, it was very reasonable. I will suggest it to my families traveling here.

Our room was dirty beyond belief. There were spiders in every corner and black widows under the kithchen sink. The curtains were torn and broken from their hangers. The bathroom floor has scum and dirt all around the baseboard and in the corners. The blinds, cabinets and walls in the kitchen were encrusted with grime and grease. The carpeting had numerous stains in it. This place looked like something that is rented by the hour. The only other hotel in town was full or we would have never stayed there. Now I know that if I go there and the other hotel is full, I will go to Salem and get a room instead of staying there.

Normally I like to start a review by listing the good points, but aside from the price there isn't any. For $45 I got a room with one queen bed, microwave, refrig, and TV. The room is small though, just about 16inches on either side of the bed and about 2 feet at the foot. Thats it. The sheets were moderately clean, I saw plenty of hair still tangled into the sheets from past guests. The walls were super thin, easy to eavesdrop on the conversations from upstairs and adjoining rooms. If I was simply looking for a cheap place to sleep and brush my teeth, this would do. If I expected to spend any length of daylight hours in a room or had my wife/girlfriend with me I'd drop another $15 and go to a more reputable place.

everyone driving by dallas should definately stay here. the staff was great, its family owned, so its great for families, suites with ample space, clean rooms, and it was 20 mintues to the capital and casinos
