Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok, Khlong Toei

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have found it to be beautiful, in a great location (adjacent to the Skytrain), with great friendly service. I also love the magnificent pool and nicely equiped gym. I travel the world and this one is a real gem. For the money, you get a very large, well appointed, suite-like accommodation that measures up nicely to any hotel in a similar big city downtown environment. The restaurants are also wonderful at this property. I highly recommend the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit!

This hotel is in a good location--attached to the skytrain and subway. Many shops and restaurants nearby. I was disappointed with the service at this hotel--some things they did well (ran to call the elevator for me), but others not very well at all (no wake up call). I was in a standard room (not upgraded) and the room was clean and well laid out although it did smell somewhat musty. Breakfast buffet included in the room rate; selection of food was good--service was barely adequate (slow or forgotten beverage delivery, difficulty in getting the check). Lounge bar had a great jazz band, nice selection of drinks and good service. Overall, I might stay here again depending on price, but I found the Emporium Suites to have nicer rooms and better service.

We used this hotel as a stopover whilst travelling to Europe. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite as a Starwood Preferred Guests. Our room was on the 33rd floor 3319 and was beautifully appointed with fabulous views of the city. The suite was spacious with a king size bed, working desk, bedside tables with a small settee with everything you would expect from a Sheraton suite. The bathroom was enormous with lovely fluffy towels a huge bath and separate shower. Toiletries were generously supplied. To me, you cannot pass Sheraton Hotels in Asia. Staff on all levels were friendly, helpful and polite. Concierge was also very knowledgeable and well informed. The swimming pool area was delightful set amongst tropical lush gardens. It was a lovely way to relax without the hassle and noise of Bangkok street life. One almost felt you were in a secluded oasis in the middle of nowhere. Pool side service was also excellent. We had the buffet lunch and the display of food was outstanding. We were entertaining business guests, so it was important to us the lunch be high-quality and superior, which Sheraton surpassed with first rate food and service. We were picked up from the airport by a lovely air-conditioned Mercedes Benz and dropped off when departing. I have given this hotel a five star rating for honouring the Sheraton loyalty programme and the excellent swimming pool and facilities which were on offer. We have stayed at numerous hotels in Bangkok and I rate this equally with the Marriott Spa Resort, both are exceptional hotels. It is located in Sukhumuit close to the commercial and shopping districts of Bangkok and is ideally positioned to the sky train for easy public transport.

good location, close from many place to be.the basil restaurant was a great experience for enjoy thai food without spice as well!don't miss the hight tea on saturday and the brunch on sunday with the jazz band ( great) and with nice and fun pastry with a real good test! we really enjoy our stay and romise to come back there for our next stay

from check-in to the spacious comfortable rooms and the sumptuous breakfast and poolside lunches... great and wonderful experience! wireless availabe throughout and service is impeccable.

This is an enormously appealing hotel in a good location near the SkyTrain. Rooms are large and very comfortable, and the bathroom is quite spacious and has lavish amenities. The service is impeccable; every staff member has been extremely well trained. The elegant breakfast buffet features Thai specialties as well as European and American-style items. There is an outdoor pool that is an oasis of serenity because of its ingenious landscaping--many quiet nooks enable a great deal of privacy and calm. The health club is one of the best such facilities I have ever encountered a hotel. All in all, the week I spent at the Sheraton Sukhumvit was among the more memorable among my travels.

Pros: 1.Nice rooms (notably if you are a StarWoord Preferred Guest). 2. Close to Skytrain (literally a few steps away from Asok station). 3. Multiple restaurants within the facility. 4. Reasonably close to "entertainment" areas. 5. Staff was excellent. Cons: 1. Can be moderately expensive for a Bangkok hotel. It is, however, made up by the excellent service provided by the staff.

Nice place to stay, close to major areas of attractions and restaurants. Nice service and great foods.

service is good. location is great (convenient to shops, embassies, etc). the sky train is very close. rooms are nice. the buffet at the orchid cafe is good.
