GREAT PRICE/Little Dated
Upon planning our weekend trip to Sea World I started looking for hotels on the northern side of San Antonio close to Sea World. Many of the hotels on that side of town either had poor reviews or were above $150.00 per night. Remembering that a friend had just visited San Antonio I gave her a call and she recommended the BW Casa Linda Hotel. This hotel was about 20 miles from Sea World but even with the gas being so expensive, the rate was at least $40 cheaper per night than the other hotels that I had looked at. Also, since we had planned on visiting the ALAMO on Saturday morning before going back to Sea World, it really worked out. The drive to and from took about 15 minutes and it was even very close to the best steakhouse in Texas, Texas Land and Cattle.
NOW, this hotel was a bit dated but it was clean, smelled fine, the beds were extremely comfortable. The A/C had a thermostat and the lounge chair in the room was extremely comfortable. There was an ice machine on each floor and vending on the lobby level. The breakfast was excellent and we were even a little disappointed on Sunday morning when they did not have the biscuts and gravy like they did on Saturday.
Overall, for a rate less than $100 on a weekend in June, we were EXTREMELY satisfied.
EXCELLENT just a little dated
