King Oscar Motel, Centralia

Nice handicapped room, clean, decent price for travelers. Was pleased. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would recommend.

The Ferryman Hotel turned us away when we told them we had a noisey autistic son,they directed us to the King Oscar down the street. The people at the King Oscar were very nice to us, this is our second visit.

We stayed 7 nights at a discounted rate. Due to this we only had our room cleaned every other day. This was not told to us in advance nor is it mentioned on their website. For three days we tried to get the key to the laundry facilities. One day the key was out for over 6 hrs. The rooms are good sized. The continental breakfast is ok. Friendly staff. Outdated furniture. Right next to the highway (loud). Upstair rooms in the back have views of the back of the front building. Pool was closed the entire week for maintenance (never saw anyone working on it). Basically, you get what you pay for.

My family has stayed at King Oscar for several years, during our Annual Family Reunion. Last year the rooms were not near as well kept. In all my family had 5 rooms. 3 of the rooms had very dirty carpet, dirty enough, if you walked barefoot and got into the tub, you left black foot prints in the tub. My neice had to change rooms because of the bad odor in the room. I was very disappointed. The staff was not always as nice as before. My Sis and I will be staying in another motel during Family Reunion 2008. The rest of the family will be taking a day trip to Centralia.

Excellent place for my employees to stay. Excellent location for business. Easy access to the freeway and close to restaurants. I reccommend this place for business travelers.

I was very impressed first off with the customer service. The girls that worked the desk were very sweet and helpful, and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating when I needed service later in the day than normal. The price was very reasonable, especially with the coupons you can find. I will 100% for sure be back when I am in Centralia next year!!!

I travelled to Centralia, WA from Ohio to attend the funeral for a family member. I had never been to the area and wasn't quite sure how to get to the church. The girl checking me in, Heather, helped me with directions to the church and even gave us good advice on places to eat. I stayed for three days and each day my room was made up by a housekeeper that was very efficient. I appreciated the kindness of the staff very much.

Upon arrival we were give a room upstairs. I asked the desk clerk if we could please be relocated downstairs. She was very polite. She apologized and relocated us to a downstairs room. During out stay the employees there couldn't have been much nicer and helpful. They were very considerate of our age and health. The rooms were very clean. The free breakfast the serve leaves a little to be desired. Overall, it was a very enjoyable place to stay.

Get this, I made my reservations this past week. The first reservationist I talk to was quite pleasant and helpful. I had to make one little change and all heck broke loose. The second reservationist was a different person. Its is apparent that some serious training in customer service and technicalities of the position is deparately needed. The second reservationist was rude, not helpful in anyway and spewed corporate jibberish like an ansewring machine. It was so apparent that nobody talks to each other here and dont know what the heck they are doing from shift to shift. This is all before I have even checked in! I have stayed at other King Oscars and was never treated so poorly. As a matter of fact, persons at other locations were very helpful and worked thru problems with ease and to my satisfaction. I will post a comment on the rest of my stay here at a later time and date.

The hotel is in good location close to the freeway. Good value for the price. I found when i booked my reservation the lady was rude, her customer service was very poor
