Looking forward to returning
By Happy Owner, 4/29/12
Sunset Harbor is a timeshare not a hotel, which is why you may not get certain hotel services. For example they do not make reservations at the front desk because owners reserve a year in advance and the only rentals are if an owner does not use their date. If you are lucky enough to rent a room or entire condo, rest assured that you are getting more for your money than other hotels or B&B's. Not that those aren't lovely but it is Key West and it is very expensive because space is limited. Location is the best on the island, view is great, great staff, in my 15 years as an owner no one has ever been rude. I can not wait to go back this coming July.

Not doing this again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/11
I took the one bedroom suite for 3 days. The costs with tax and "resort fees" came to just short of $500.00 a night. The bed sheets had horrific stains on them and there are no mattress pads for the sleeper sofas. The bathroom ceiling had mildew stains and the in suite kitchen has no oven (which is not new but it is anoying at this price). I stayed in the same room last year. It does have a wonderful view of the gulf, when the cruise ships are not obstructing the view. However, the price for the room has significantly increased in the last year. For the price, I expected better guest services and perks. The room and facilities are not worth the price.

Great place, quiet- yet two blocks from the action
By Steve, 6/27/09
Comfortable, location, location, location. Great pool and guest at great. I just get the studio, when I am solo in Key West, if my wife is with me I get the one bedroom which has the balcony and full kitchen. The studio has a fridge, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Outdoor gas grill are around the pool, so I cook up some chicken and I'm set with meals for a few days. I will share a secret, if you search ebay, you may find some great bargains on Hyatt sunset harbor.

Very comfortable
By Don, 10/12/08
Just drove home today from Hyatt's Sunset Harbor. My one bedroom unit had a great balcony with a view, staff when need where great, the bathroom shower rod fell down and help arrive and fixed it, within ten minutes. Cruise ship is out before sunset, I did not consider it a problem- it was fun to watch- and seemed to add a festive mode, especially when the horn's blow and it departs. Parking was great- $10 at the Westin for Hyatt guest, and I think it is the best location in Key West- quiet and close to Duval. Hope your experience is the same.

Do not stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/07
My husband and I have been to Key West several times. We chose this hotel last minute and thought since it was boasting the Hyatt name that we couldn't lose. Boy, were we wrong! First, since it was a last minute, we called the hotel directly and the rude man that answered the phone said he couldn't help us and that we had to book online. Okay, we thought. Odd, but okay. Once we got there, we were told by another rude woman working the front desk that for our $223 PER NIGHT, we got an internal room with no balcony after the rude man on the phone said that "all our rooms have balconies". Instead of searching for another room last minute and wasting preciuos vacation hours, we decided to stay only to find out later that the toilet didn't flush properly, the highly advertised bathroom spa tub didn't work and don't even THINK about staying 1 minute past the 10am checkout time. We left our room at 10:01am and the cleaning staff was impatiently standing outside our door. Apparently, every 30 minutes you stay past 10 am you have to pay $30. It was an awful experience and we will l never return to a Hyatt property again.

Superb!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/18/05
The Hyatt Sunset Harbor Resort was wonderful! It is timeshare units consisting of studio, one bedroom & two bedroom fully equipped condos. We stayed in a "studio" unit ($110/night) which included a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster and blender on request! The bedroom was a bit tight, but the bathroom was enormous with a full size whirlpool tub, huge walk-in shower, separate sink/toilet area. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the wonderful pool everyday. We witnessed many beautiful cruise ships that docked right in front of the resort. It was nestled off the beaten path, but within easy walking distance to all the Key West attractions, with Mallory Square being a block away and the famous Duval Street about 2 block away. I would highly recommend this resort, for the atmosphere and the price!
