Wont be going back there
By ,
This is a Euro oriented hotel. All the entertainment and food is mostly Italian, Russian or Polish. If you are an American, you wont find anything there that you can enjoy. Our room was all the way in the back, the bathrooms need to be cleaned better, the bedding has an odor. There is no kid activites other than swimming in a pool or on the beach. The hotel doctor is undependable. I think there are better hotels out there, next time I will go to the Hyatt or Regency. The beach is small and rocky. No life guard on duty. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, but alot of them seem to not fluently speak or understand english.

Love ya, Sonesta Beach ;)))!
By ,
Sonesta Beach has very beautiful, large and green territory. Pls dont miss it with Sonesta Club, coz Sonesta Beach is 5* much better... closer to the sea, restaurants, clubs, etc. :) Our room was quite spacious and comfortable, they cleaned it every day as they have to, We'd prefer them to clean it not as good... they did it too good! :D (they were putting even our small things to places where they were supposed to be, so sometimes we had to search :D) There're lots of pools with different depth.(depth is written each time it changes) You can't swim well or have kids ? - NO problem :)! & of course there're pools for little kidz beside almost every big pool :) So... you can relax a little, swim, or get massage beside pool or in Health center. Food is quite tasty :) Most of tousrists are from Italy and Russia. Italians are very friendly, russians can bite sometimes :D Italian animation shows are very cool ;) All Staff of the hotel are extremely friendly & ready to do almost anything for you... They were quite patient when we locked the door & left keys inside ( ohh, 2 times) :DD Guys at reception can break money (if u forgot to change it in the bank nearby). Shops, restaurants, bars accept $, and euro, But MORE convenient is to pay in egyptian pounds. Hotel is located at Naama Bay, so if u prefer to dance a bit at nights you can go to some night club... just 10 min and you're there... "Hard Rock cafe" really rocks, "Pacha", "Bus stop" ... and there're lots of others :) Sooo... ;) Bon voyage!!! Hope u spend really great time in Sharm el Sheikh, in Sonesta Beach... ;)

would never go back
By ,
the first room they gave us was like a fox hole very close to receptionand the music was unbearably loud and you couldnt get away from it, when they moved us to another room it was very spacious and clean, the staff in general were polite but the were a few exceptons with staff, watch your bills, its better if you check them every day, i am sorry but i cant find many good points about this hotel, we have recently stayed in the movenpick golf hotel and trust me, there is no comparison, the golf, will leave this hotel in the shade, we would never ever return to this hotel, and we have stayed in many hotels in egypt and had nile cruise and this is the only hotel we wouldnt return to, i could waffle on for ages but i dont see the point in doing that i think i have expressed my views sufficiently.

Well appointed resort, very poor kids programme.
By ,
We absolutely loved the village feel of the resort. The gardens were outstanding and we really appreciated the choice of 7 quite individual pools (some busy with acitivities and some quiet for realxing)and the very spacious and well layed-out rooms. The location of the resort at the end of the promenade was ideal for evening strolls and we were gald that, for once, we had chosen only B&B, so that we could have variety in the evenings. A word of caution to families, however... I was truly disppaointed with the Kids Club(It was really the worst I have come accross and not worth a visit!)and the entertainment was geared almost entirely to the Itlaian groups. Whilst we were happy to seek entertainment elsewhere, we nonetheless had the "opportunity" to hear the whole Italian programme every night in our room which was rather too close to the stage. Keep this in mind (and ask for a room away from teh stage) and you can enjoy a wonderfully warm and relaxing break here.

Watch your biils!
By ,
Wathc your bills! The staff like to add service charge and taxes when they are already included. If you question the bill you have no standing. The staff charged us for a bottle of champage we hadnt had, we refused to pay and they stopped us leaving the hotel with poice until we paid! Other than that - Hotel was nice. The resort is amazing, great for snorkelling and diving.

we've already been back!
By ,
We loved everything about it. The location is ideal - just close enough to the town, but remote enough for peace and quiet and with its own reef. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you, the entertainment is excellent, the food varied and extremely good quality. Aside from the a la carte Italian restaurant it is a plentiful buffet, so anyone complaining about the service has only themselves to blame! On top of all of this it is cheap by our standards. It is hard to come up with any negatives, but if pressed I would say that you need to be quite cosmopolitan to deal with the behaviour of some of the Italians and Russians, yet most were quite polite and friendly. We have already been back once and I would gladly spend all of my holidays there.

We would go back tomorrow!
By ,
From the minute we arrived at Sonesta Beach Resort we instantly fell in love with it - the staff were amazing & couldn't do enough to help you. The resort itself is amazing, the grounds are very spacious, imaculately kept and the pools never over-crowded as there are so many to choose from. The rooms are absolutely huge and are cleaned daily with fresh towels etc, also there is no need to take beach towels as they are provided on a daily basis too. Naama bay is gorgeous, the beautiful promenade is a fantastic way to stroll leisurely to Marina Street where the atmosphere is magic. We loved it so much that we are currently looking into going again but for Christmas & New Year this time - we can't wait to be lounging by the pool again at the Sonesta - we'd go back tomorrow!

Not impressed
By ,
It depends what you're after, really. If you're just into diving, then fine, this place is ok. However, the service at the restaurants is lousy (except for the A la carte Italian place, La Gondola) and you have to eat your breakfast amongst other people's debris because they dont clear it quickly. The beach is WAY too small, with every inch of it covered with sun loungers which are all taken by 7am. It's full of Italians (who are generally ok), and Russians (who are rude and uncivilised). The facilities in general are too small - the queue at reception can also be pretty long at times. It seems like they've added more and more rooms, but not expanded any of the facilities to cope with it.
The Hilton in Naama Bay had a much larger beach. I would consider going there instead.
