At first we didn't have any issues with the hotel, stayed there two nights. Woke up the first night thought a bug went up my nose but when I checked there wasn't anything there...kept itching but could never see anything..until the 2nd day. Got out of the shower and sat on the bed to put lotion on my legs and saw a little black spot on me...then it hopped....then i looked at the sheets...and there were fleas!! I pulled the covers back and saw about 8 of them...hoping around. I went to the front office and talked with the manager..tried to be discreet about it and she seemed to be nice at first saying that she would credit us....however when we came to check out she only credited back $16.....that's it! Saying she couldn't do anything more because it was a game weekend...if it hadn't been a game weekend then she could have done more. She questioned why we just now reported the fleas because we had stayed there 2 nights. My husband and I were very nice and did not make a scene. We just decided that we would wirte a bad review and let everyone know about this experience. If you want fleas...stay at the Guest Inn in Norman OK!

Excellent value! Hotel is in an excellent location, near OU, shopping, and lots of dining. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Will stay again.

We take our 2 little "wanna be poodles" with us and few places accept pets but this is a very pet friendly place. The back downstair rooms have a patio door and you walk right out into a large area for "Rufus" to do his business. The beds are comfortable, some maintenace could be done here and there, but in all the motel is OK.

We got to are room and everything seemed fine. after dark i saw a roach crawl across our wall. a little while later i went to open the fridge and two more ran out. when i went to the front desk to complain and get my money back the man refused to do anything, was screaming at me to get out and threatened to call the cops. all this in front of my three year old son! i will never stay here again!

IN MY OPINION, GUEST INN IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN NORMAN. WE'VE STAYED MANY TIMES, AND WILL STAY MORE. DEBI & RYAN, YOU ARE THE BEST!

Great people Great Location all around great experience. All the staff was very friendly and cordial. Rooms were as clean as a 40+ year old building could get. Staff works really really hard and takes pride in what they do.

If a convenient location is all that matters, this might be the hotel for you. But if you care about customer service and personal comfort, don't stay here. In particular, watch out for online reservations. Two rooms had been reserved online for a group of us for one night. The mid-afternoon check-in was lengthy because the clerk couldn't find our reservations. One of the rooms we were given had some awful unidentifiable smell and wasn't fit to sleep in. Due to mixups and confusion, my friend was charged for 5 rooms while we only occupied 2 rooms. Trying to resolve this with the hotel has been a nightmare for my friend. They do not care about their customers and do not care if you had a pleasant stay. I'll never stay here again due to the way she's been treated. Price and location won't be enough to overcome the memory of this bad experience, the disdain shown by management, the lack of attention to cleanliness and the lackluster amenities.

I did not like the way the lady at the front desk treated my friend with regard to the online reservations she made, not only was she unwilling to be helpful but down right rude to her...also magically they did not actually have the two rooms reserved and held with my friend credit card, utimately when I got to my own room $11.00 more than I was told it smelled really bad of mold and urnine and so she finally agreed to move me without charging me again...however my friend's card was ultimately charded 4 times for 4 single reservations and again charged for my room which I paid for seperately. When my friend tried to resolve the matter the explanation for refusal to credit the charges we simply that my friend was rude while trying to resolve this matter. No way will I go back, recommend or be silenced about the way she was treated and the absolutely nausiating smell my original room had. Bad deal all the way around...So watch out for your charges at this establishment if you are not nice you will be chargeds mutltiple times and also try to avoid the mold and unine smell provided for your comfort in your stay away from home.

I do not recommend the Guest Inn in Norman or Ardmore, Oklahoma, or the Hotel-Rates.com website for reservations. They are not customer friendly, will not resolve differences and the customer is never right. The rooms at the Guest Inn in Norman smell bad and rates are high. Please be careful making reservations through Hotel-Rates.com as they will reserve as many rooms as they can to get their commission and are not clear about how many you will have or who's name they will be in. I would suggest not telling them if you have more than 1 person per room. You can easily end up being charged an additional $200 - for nothing.
