Why bother, the management doesn't.
By Rose'sguy, 10/8/10
I think this is the worst one in the chain. We made some complaints and were called liars. The complaints were only aswered with lies of their own, and then only after we contacted the Hampton Inn Corporate Office. The money back warranty is a lie also. The Hampton Inn is our choice nationwide, but not here in Gainesville. It is a sorry imitation of the real thing. Take air freshener with you. And check if the bed has been made up, ours wasn't made up by the staff. It was done by the person before us. Very shoddy and sloppy.

bad mattresses
By VickieK, 2/18/08
The last two times I stayed at this location in Gainesville, the mattresses are too light(cheap) and because of this, they move away from the box spring..this time I slipped on the linens and fell out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head on the nightstand table. The breakfast was also lame...the waffle makers are long gone and the eggs were disgusting.....I'll never stay there again...

Good place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/05
From my stays so far, this is a typical HI. Which is a good thing. They have figured out how to do things right. The room was large and clean. They have wireless internet and loan bridges out from the front desk. I had no problem connecting the bridge and geting hooked up into the internet. It is located at the end of a dead end street, so there is very little traffic. It is right off the interstate, however except when I was outside I never did hear any noise. The bad planning part is the pool is on the side of the hotel closest to the interstate. Just a block or so down the road is a main street with many shopping and eating choices. Most of them are within walking distance, although they might not be real close and there is no sidewalk along the dead end road. The breakfast was typical HI. 3 kinds of coffee (decaf, regular, and robust), pastries, cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, and 2 rotating hot items. The hot items include eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, waffle dunking strips, and ham. They also have a bag breakfast to go, which I tried once just to see. It includes water, breakfast bar, apple, and muffin. Good if you are in a hurry.
