It's all about the staff.
By Karen, 1/27/12
Everything about this Botique hotel is is wonderful but it's staff is over the top with friendlyness and the willing to help in any way they can. They make the stay a wonderful experience. If you ask a question you will get an answer and then even more advice about your question which I found to be great in my planning of where to go and what to see.

A beautiful hotel!
By Rock n' Roll, 7/22/11
We loved this hotel! It was quiet, the rooms were beautiful and the King size bed was fantastic. It is our new favorite place in Sedona, and we have tried plenty of the others. We will be back!

Ok Hotel, Staff great, Owners awful..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/11
Overrated hotel, but decent, clean. The upside the staff, Cindy, Brie and Annie were wonderful. The downside, tiny pool, noisy street, far away from town, clogged bathroom sink, bathroom jacuzzi took over an hour to fill. We were overcharged an extra night when we added a night. My husband contacted the owners when we returned home to be told we had been pre charged and should have known that and did your wife really expect that rate. I asked TWICE when I called to add another night, and was quoted a price for our total stay. We asked the owners to please call and speak to me directly so they may have a better understanding of our frustration. No one did. I called the Hotel, and Brie, the manager was so apologetic, and said she wished she had dealt with this issue but she was off during our check day. She called the owner who then called me. He was firm and curt in his answer that we should have known and asked me what I wanted him to do. At this point, I said I would like him to honor what was quoted me, (not a huge difference btw, but now it was the principle). He said no he would not do that, but did offer to give me a rate of another hotel, and I said, I just want what I was told period. At this point the difference would have been approx. $20. NOT a lot of money to make your customer happy. He said no, he would not be brow beaten into what WE wanted! He said I was rude to his staff (not true), as a matter of fact Brie was great in trying to help. He said my husband had sent him threatening emails! (not true). and he then said that if we give a bad review ( I had said I was a dissatisfied customer and any review of his hotel would reflect that), that we were blackmailing him, and that was illegal in AZ!! Seriously! I was astounded a Hotel owner would act this way or say such things. Over what comes down to about $20 in the end! Unreal. For me, customer service is number one. If I have an issue, I want it dealt with, I dont want to have to email back and forth, or ASK TWICE to be called, and then call myself. They are more interested in hoarding $20 than making a customer happy. We will never stay there again, for the price, there are many other Hotels in Sedona, better locations and value IMO. These owners have no business being in the Hotel industry.

Great Little Secret in Sedona
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/11
This a great and very clean Inn. My husband and I stayed here for our 29th Anniversary. The staff was amazing. We arrived a few hours before our check in and we were able to check into our room. The rooms were very clean. The staff gave us great suggestions on where to dine at. We did not have a bad meal. We hiked everyday. The staff suggested great trails. Beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the inn so well that we had a few days left from our week trip, that we returned for the final days. We highly recommend this inn. Thank you to all the Staff at Southwest Inn.

Best Inn ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/3/10
The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. We arrived in Sedona well ahead of our check-in time and just stopped by the front desk to ask a few questions. The staff member asked about what we would like to see and do in Sedona and took the time to give us a pre-printed map of highlights and explained how to reach each one. Because we wanted to sample some of the beers from Oak Creek Brewery, we asked about cab services and were provided with a card. I asked for a special concession at one point and the staff made the concession without hesitation. The room was extremely clean and the beds were amazing (we didn't want to leave). When you go, have lunch at Oak Creek Brewery and be sure to go see Nick's. Nick's is a small hole in the wall bar/restaurant with an amazing breakfast. When we return to Sedona, we will stay at the Southwest Inn. While it's just a shade out of downtown, it was not inconvenient at all and the wonderful condition of the room was worth it. Best service, amazing cleanliness and the rates were very reasonable. Very cozy and very welcoming. They are actually glad to have you stay rather than some places where the staff acts as though you are an inconvenience. Thanks to all of you for making us feel so welcome and pampered!!

Nice room, nice fireplace, nice rates! We were only able to stay one evening - but it was an evening we won't ever forget. Great recommendation from the hostess on a place to eat. (Barking Frog!) Everything was just right....!

Great Value
By carol, 7/12/09
The Southwest Inn is in a good location in West Sedona away from the traffic and tourists. Parking was right outside our door. The room was very nice with Kiva fireplace, great bathroom with double sinks, private patio with table and chairs, flat screen TV and refrigerator. The complimentary breakfast was good with a wide variety. Excellent price for such quality. Definitely would stay there again.

Excellent Inn
By Bill Shelton, 5/29/09
We recently stayed at Southwest Inn and was very pleasently surprised, The staff was extremely friendly and willing to give suggestions on everything from restaurants to hiking trails. Rooms were very tatefully decorated in Southwest flavor and very spacious. Continential breakfsat was very nice, fresh waffles were very good along with a choice of juice, coffee and milk. Location is very convienent to downtown but not to close to be disturbed by traffic and noise. Very quiet and comfortable rooms! I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone wanting a nice, clean, comfortable and pleasent Inn. We will definitely stay here again!

A treasure in Sedona
By damclark, 5/13/09
It was our first trip to beautiful Sedona, Arizona. We stayed two nights at the lovely SW Inn at Sedona. The location is perfect for getting around the area without being in the hustle bustle of uptown. The rooms are beautifully appointed, very comfortable and clean. We were celebrating an anniversary during our stay. There was a bottle of sparkling cider on ice and two champagne flutes waiting for us in our room the night we arrived. The staff is more than just courteous and efficient. They seem to really want to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be. Their knowledge of the area and dining was spot on. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into making the SW Inn a place you would want to come back to time and again.
