Hilltop Acres, Wentworth

If you'd like a real taste of New Hampshire, you've got to stay at Hilltop Acres. It's perfectly located in Wentworth, NH (NOT Wentworth by the Sea), close to the White Mountains, the Connecticut River Valley, the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and all sorts of family-oriented theme parks and ski areas. It's located near a working lumber mill (you'll hear some white noise, and you'll like the fresh lumber smell), and just across the river from picturesque downtown Wentworth, complete with a village common. Innkeeper Marie doesn't mind pets, and loves kids. The cottage is great for romantic getaways---or shy parents with noisy babies. There's a great pine-paneled rec room with a fieldstone fire place and an upright piano, which Marie will play for you, if you ask nicely. If you're looking for the Hilton, don't choose this B&B. But if you're happy with clean, simple accommodations, beautiful scenery and honest hospitality, you can't go wrong here. That's why we've been vacationing at Hilltop Acres for more than 10 years.
