Union Bluff Hotel, York Beach

My husband and I went on a long weekend trip here for our anniversary with our baby. The hotel looks much better online then it is in reality. The rooms clean but were cramped with just the bare minimum. Our light fixture in the bathroom was actually coming off, which looked extremely tacky. There was a mini fridge in our room which was helpful to store drinks and our baby's bottles but there was no microwave or coffee maker. Our view was great and the location was very convenient, as it was right on the beach and in walking distance from all the shops. The staff was rude and acted as though any request was beneath them and too much of an effort. I found them to be very fake and stuck up. For the amount of money that we paid to stay there I expected the staff to be more pleasant and I expected our room to be a bit larger. At a cheaper price, this hotel would be good for someone on a short trip who will be out all day and just using the hotel as a place to sleep. I would not recommend an extended stay(more then 2-3 nights) there.

We just spent the night last weekend. We love York Beach and this hotel, lately we have noticed that it is very loud at night. The heating sytem is very loud when it comes on, you can even hear it coming from the rooms aside of you. Not a good night sleep when that happens.

My family and I stayed in a ocean front room this past weekend... What beutiful room and hotel. The veiw is to die for. I was there this past winter and there was some construction going on, we were told about it when making our reservation, the construction is all over and it was worth the wait. There are now brick sidewalks and we are told the telephone poles will be coming down shortly and replaced with antique lighting. Can't wait to return in the fall.

The entire road in front of the hotel (beach side) is under construction. Noisy. When we arrived at approx 6 pm the machines were all going strong. Wish the hotel would have been up front with us about this when we made the reservation (we specifically asked if it was a quiet location; whether any big events were going on, etc.) We ended up driving around until we found a quiet place to stay in Ogunquit. Very disappointed with Union Bluff and would not recommend.

What I love about the Union Bluff is it's location. You can't beat beachfront and being able to walk to town in less than a minute. I agree the parking is not the best, but we've always managed to find a spot. Not having to drive everytime you want to go out with two kids is priceless!

We stayed in the Meeting House section of the Union Bluff for an early summer get away. We have two young children and this place was awesome. Our room was beautifully clean with lovely updated decor. We were right across from the beach and walked to all the stores and restaurants as well as the Wild Animal Kingdom. We had dinner at the Hotels Pub and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. They were both excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant/Pub to everyone.

I completley disagree with te bad reviews! This will be my 6th year going back to the annix with my family. I haven't ever dined there, so I have no comment about that, besides lack of parking, the view is spectacular it is extremely clean and worth the slightly high rates!!!

My wife and I have been regular customers in the pub and dining room. We especially liked the laid back atmosphere and staff. Well things have changed, the menu, staff and general attitude..We watched as the prices have risen but the quality of the foods and the service has dropped. We are especially unhappy with how the management ignores the customers and their needs. Sorry to say this used to be our favorite place to dine, not anymore. I can understand that their focus is now on "the meeting house" but they seemed to have forgotten the pub and dining room...I guess thats why most of our local friends will no longer dine at the Bluff anymore either.. As said in an other review "goodbye old friend"
