Zahns Alpine Guesthouse, Mont Vernon

We were there over a long weekend and it was wonderful! The house is absolutely divine. A lovely wood sits behind the inn... and we thought we saw deers and little owls! We think it's a lovely conservation area and might have gone in for a walk if the woods were a little thinner.... We also thought it would have been nice if there was a hot-tub on premises. A lovely place to rest and relax and yet.. just 5 minutes from town. The innkeepers were so kind and we had fresh brownies, warm scones & fruit. Fridge and microwave available too. Rooms, nice and clean, lovely high ceilings and super cosy. It's also a WIFI hotspot!! I felt like I had was living in Scandinivia! Or perhaps Ikea :) A super short 5 minute drive to town where a great selection of eateries, shopping for the girls, beautiful hiking trails and great ski and toboggan spots!! An incredible rate for so many things...!! We're definitely going back again. Antique lovers... pack your wallets full. You'll find some beautiful antiques and amazing woodwork furnishings in this part of the world where you won't find anywhere else.
