"WOW"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/11
My daughter got married at Brasstown Valley Resort and I can't say enough how beautiful everything was. Guests told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to and when I asked why, they said it was the accommodations, the scenery, the venues, the food, and the fanstastic service they received. I highly recommend this facility for an outdoor wedding and a weekend of fun with golf, swimming and spa. Thank you Brasstown for giving us memories we will never forget.

Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/14/09
Brasstown is a great escape! Staff was pleasant and professional, had no problems reservations, check in or anything. They are getting a five-star from me mainly due to staff. Food was excellant, especially Friday night Seafood Buffet (even the locals like it!) The resort is non-commercial, easy going and clean. Enjoyed the spa and horseback riding. Would strongly recommend for romantic getaway, girls night out, work offsite or anytime you to escape and relax. I don't golf, but if I did, I would want to golf here! Pool, fitness center and walking trails were nice, well maintained and clean. Internet access was great.

Follow up to "Complete Nightmare"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/09
We had previously had a veru dissappointing stay at Brasstown where they had messed up our reservation and we ended up not even checking in and drove straight home. However the General Manager called us the next day and apologized for the on call manager's behaviour and gave us a complimentary stay. This time everything went very smoothly, the check in was painless, the room was good, the food was great (thanks to Dylan the head chef), the spa massages and ammenities and food were all good. It was overall a great experience and made up for our previous disappointments. Thanks again

Complete nightmare - Left before even checking in
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/09
My wife and I have been to Brasstown a few times and each time they manage to mess something up. We had our wedding reception at the resort several years ago so we keep trying to give them another chance, but after our last visit we will never be going to this resort ever again. We went up for their Escape package which includes 2 activities (massage, horse ride or golf) and breakfast. We drove 2 hours from Atlanta up to the resort and when we tried to check in they said that we were not booked for a package. Instead of trying to sort out the problem they said we had to pay for one night and then they would "try and fix it in the morning". What they really wanted us to do was pay $200 for the night and spend $100 in the restaurant for dinner and then screw us over in the morning when we would have no leverage at all as we would already have spent the night. We tried repeatedly to talk with the manager on duty, I believe his name was David Petersen, who was extremely rude and unhelpful and had no intention of trying to resolve the issue. Eventually after half an hour we decided it was not worth the effort and got back in our car and drove home. What a waste of time and stress. We were trying to have a nice relaxing weekend and instead wasted 4 hours driving and 30 minutes arguing with an incompetent useless manager. Even the person behind the front desk was unhelpful and I suspect the whole package deal is a scam to get you to the resort and then screw you over. Even worse at our wedding reception they over charged us for the drinks. We had an open bar for our guests and at the end of the evening (8pm) when we got the bill there was all sorts of liquor drinks and other items that none of our guests had ordered. It was a small family gathering of only 20 people and most of them do not drink so we knew it must have been a mistake. When they went to double check the amount they found they had "accidentally" miscounted and they had "mistakenly" charged us for 3 times as much alcohol as they were supposed to. Innocent mistake I'm sure. Another time we stayed at the hotel they put us in their "best" room, which was actually the room on the ground floor next to the elevator, the vending machine and the ice machine. It was so noisy we had to move rooms, which again was handled extremely poorly by the front desk.

Wish we could have stayed longer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/09
My husband and myself recently stayed at Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa to celebrate our 30th anniversay. We found the resort very relaxing. All staff members were very helpful, professional and courteous. The food was great and the golf wonderful, even though the course had suffered some greenway kill over the winter. I hope we can go back another time. We give you a "10". Thank you Brasstown!

Lovely getaway! LOVE the custom made omelet!
By Chelle, 12/15/08
Love the decor, the view is spectacular and the service friendly and accommodating. Sadly, the pool heater was broken and therefore, not open, but overall, we had a wonderful stay! The food was wonderful. A chef prepared our omelet by our design. It was the best omelet I have ever had, by far. And, the chef really loves what he does, and it shows!!

Housekeeping Issues
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/08
Unsure linens had been changed and instead of fresh sheets, we got a discount coupon the next morning to use on our next visit. Nice place but will check the sheets first before staying there again. Buffet food excellent but very expensive.

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/07
We have been coming here for a couple of years and it is great. Everyone has had a bad experience at some point in time, but I have never had one at Brasstown Valley Resort. My wife and I enjoy every minute of our stay. We are always met with a smile. We will be back in a couple of weeks and can't wait to enjoy everything you have to offer. I hope Gene is still working and greeting. He always goes out of his way to help others. Again, thanks for the past experiences and we are looking forward to many more. see you all in a couple of weeks!!!!! TL

Unwelcoming Service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/23/07
I recently called Brasstown Valley Resort's Direct Reservation line to inquire about their rates. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was rude and very unwelcoming! I called back the next day to perhaps speak with someone more polite, but got the same result from the day before...Yes, I get that such a place would be busy, but quite frankly the front service and reservations staff couldn't be more arrogant! At any rate, we will be looking elsewhere to stay on our visit to Brasstown.

Will never go back, too many other nice places to spend $200 + per night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/07
Dear Mr. Burton, I am not one to usually send a note to business establishment unless I receive services that delight the customer or need some serious improvements. Unfortunatley, I am addressing the latter. Did some research on where to go for our 25 th wedding anniversary, debating mountains or beach, Ashville or Hilton Head. I must say that the food was very good and enjoyed the Surf and Turf on Saturday. However, below is some areas that could use improvement. I provide this as quite frankly, the room enviroment at the Hampton Inn in Helen simply out classes the one here at Brasstown Valley. - room had a very musty smell (RM 334) - could hear normal conversations from our neighbor's room - consent banging of doors, distracting, not very peaceful - was awaken a few times the Saturday night latest being 3 AM due to inconsiderate guests but could be prevented with noise abatement investment - was awakened at 5 AM with constant doors banging for 30 minutes which turned out to be a bus group leaving ( a preventative measure would be to insure no groups leave before 7 AM ) Unfortunately, I do not plan to come back here due to these conditions above, nor can I recommend this location to others unless they are willing to tolerate the above. At $200 + per night, I would not have expected such an environment and it not a good value. I trust you will receive this so that you can consider improvements as anyone else in rooms off our hallway had an alarm clock going off from 5 AM to 5:45 AM.
