I spent my first night in a room so small I could sit on the toilet and brush my teeth at the wash basin. That room was so small the bathroom door opened against the bed and there was no place to put your luggage. The room also had a moldy odor.
Once I was able to change rooms everything was fine.
we stayed here for three nights last month and thought the hotel was great. Right in the heart of town--you can walk anywhere you want to go. The pub on the first floor was a lot of fun--they had a great band on Friday and Sunday night. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but who goes to Ireland to stay in the room? The daily breakfast was very tasty with a nice selection, and the one night we ate dinner in the restaraunt it was very good as well. We also found the menu in the pub to be great too--ate there several times during our stay. Highly recommend it.
The service was outstanding. We had some problems with the bed and housekeeping was right there to set it straight. The room was a little on the muggy side but its expected for Ireland. We also went during a heat wave where the high ranged from 65-72 the whole week. The windows opened to get a nice breeze in the evenings. The location was right in the heart of downtown perfect for walking the streets into the little shops. Perfectly situated next to a grocery store and across from a phone company where you can purchase inexpensive phone cards. Directly next door was a burger king but wonder down the road 2 stops from the Blarney Woolen Mills shop and you stumble upon one of the greatest pizza places ever!
This hotel was great, right in the city center. There are gift shops and pubs right outside the door. From our room you could see mountains and 2 cathedrals. The only downfall was the shower did not work well, the water would cut out if there were other rooms with the shower on. But the location more than makes up for the shower. The food was really good. I would definently stay here again!
