Medplaya Hotel Pez Espada, Torremolinos

great location,restaurant and public rooms.low key entertainment, happy hour three times per week.hotel geared towards over 50s. one drawback was the enevitable queue for sunbeds, you had to be quick and early. we used the sunbeds on the beach 8 euros per couple per day including parasol (top class). we had a garden room, but other rooms looked to have small gabalconies

We have been going to the pez espada for 30 years and have never been disopointed. it's very central and has lovely garden. it has 3 pools a baby pool a shallow pool and a deep pool. rooms are very nice have coulored tv air contitioning and mini bar. Large size bathroom and room nice views from balcony. Dinner is very tasty a good range of food and the same for breakfast. Show room very large and bar fantastic. Frank sinatra sean connary and other stars have stayed their You really have to go best in the summer

We have been staying at the Pez Espada every year from 1986. We are going again for two weeks during September 2007, and at the moment we feel impatient for our holiday to commence. We love everything about the Pez Espada, the food is terrific, the rooms excellent, the location absolutely super. We also book a car for the two weeks so that we can visit various towns etc. We think Torremolinos has improved over the years and we have never been afraid to tell fiends where we have been on holiday. When we asked some people where they stayed on their holiday a large percentage have to say "Marbella" ( We dont believe a word of their information, they just want to feel superior to us humble mortals. Perhaps we should not have spoken highly regarding the Pez Espada as we dont want to find that when we want to go there next year the Hotel is fully booked. We have been going to the hotel pez espada for many years.restaraunt staff are very good and friendly.Reception staff are average.we stay every year reccomended.

We have stayed at the pez espada,for the last three years.We found the hotel very comfortable and clean.close to shops and the beach.The food was excelant.And the staff are very pleasant,we highly reccomend the hotel pez espada.

A truely great hotel wonderful location,great food,service superb.My wife and I were their in august 2004,we are going back for awinter week in march this year cant wait.

It is a great Hotel , in an ideal location fronting the Promenade which stretches from the Marina in Benalmadena , around the headland to the eastern beach of Bajondilla.The Carahuelia , the original fishing village , boasts a lot of seafood restaurants as well as the usual mixture of shops and is a quiet ten-minute stroll from the Hotel. All the staff are friendly and most have been there since we started going back in 1990.The choice of food is very good and if you cannot find what you like there you really need to go to a Five Star or higher hotel ! The only criticism we can level against the Hotel is just that - there are quite a few steps to access the pools and gardens. There is easy access to Torremolinos Town using the local bus or Taxis - with a rank outside. Use the sunbeds and mattresses provided around the two pools or cross the promenade onto the beach from the garden gate.
