Hotel Lido, Cascais

goodness me what a disaster'they call them selves a 3* hotel i wouldn't even give them one,where do i start...on arrivals our room had no lighting it took 2 staff members to come up an still no joy we didn't even get a sorry or nothing cause the staff couldn't speak english..next day we had a new lamp but no one told us we discovered that ourselves,no tea/coffee facilities in room so couldn't boil water for childs bottles..i had to keep going to the bar for hot water even that was like a chore for the staff who again couldn't understand what i wanted!!the food was brutal in the place not a choice at all,the bar well its not even that they didn't even have a glass of wine in the place let alone a beer,pool absoulutely freezen an broken tiles an around the pool area wasn't clean so my child couldn't even have a swim,looking for a manager was like looking for a needle in a hay stack an at reception the girl phoned a colleague bout our complaint but was laughing on the phone with the other colleague as i stood their waiting for an answer!!BAD customer service i tell ya,the only good thing bout the place was the house keepers,they had the room tidy every day an where sweet ladys,i just pity them working for a company like this,in the end NO i don't recommend this place at all an shall never return to it !!!!!!!!!!!!

we went there on a band trip, and we got food that somebody else had eaten from. nasty! I'm sorry but a would not go back there again. when we got dessert they only had chocolate thing for half of the band and the rest got a single banana! I would not reccomend this hotel to anybody, if you are going to eat dinner at the hotel. the room was OK and the pool was'nt bad. but the food was not nice for your "tummy". so if you want to eat dinner at restaurants, choose this hotel!
