Centrally Located, but Good Night's Rest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/07
My husband and I traveled to Ireland mainly so that I could run in the Dublin Marathon. We arrived from San Francisco, CA. at 5:30 in the morning, tired and jet lagged. The staff was extremely gracious and kind. They settled us in the lounge with toast and coffee, and got us into our room hours before the usual check in time.
The hotel is centrally located; we were easily able to walk to most of Dublin's attractions including Temple Bar, Grafton St. shopping, the Guinness factory, and Trinity College, etc.
Because I was running the Marathon, a good night's sleep was paramount. Our room was clean and quiet. It was rather small, but that's not unusual in a European hotel. We were much more interested in experiencing an authentic Irish hotel than staying in an American chain. Wynn's is old fashioned and quaint, but modern in ways necessary to comfort.
