Enjoyful
By The Lad, 12/30/05
I would have to say the location of this hotel is as perfect as your going to get a hotel in a major european city like dublin, its not overly expensive and the food is delicious and the staff are warm and presentable. I spent about 2 days in wynns and i enjoyed every moment of it. There is some times a noisey atmosphere outside with the busy citys roads and traffic and local's returning from nights out but is an excellent place to catch your few days in dublin and be able to walk out to be right in the city centre.

Hope to be back soon

Nice homely hotel. And in good location. Staff very helpful. Food good and bedroom excellent. Near cinemas and theatres and Bus Aras. Have car but prefer to travel by bus/train as don't like driving in Dublin. Stayed in Wynn's nearly 40 years ago! Was there last year. Single room person.

Centrally Located, but Good Night's Rest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/07
My husband and I traveled to Ireland mainly so that I could run in the Dublin Marathon. We arrived from San Francisco, CA. at 5:30 in the morning, tired and jet lagged. The staff was extremely gracious and kind. They settled us in the lounge with toast and coffee, and got us into our room hours before the usual check in time. The hotel is centrally located; we were easily able to walk to most of Dublin's attractions including Temple Bar, Grafton St. shopping, the Guinness factory, and Trinity College, etc. Because I was running the Marathon, a good night's sleep was paramount. Our room was clean and quiet. It was rather small, but that's not unusual in a European hotel. We were much more interested in experiencing an authentic Irish hotel than staying in an American chain. Wynn's is old fashioned and quaint, but modern in ways necessary to comfort.

Excellent location in center of city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/07
I recently stayed for 10 days at Wynn's and very much enjoyed the stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. My only complaint are the thin walls and spotty plumbing in the shower. But not bad for an older European hotel Right on the light rail line which runs between Heuston and Connolly train stations. Easy walk to Temple Bar and Grafton St. areas. Highly recommended for budget conscious travelers.

Will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/30/06
Arrived Monday evening. restaurant does not open on Mondays and were directed to the bar for dinner. Pub food is not what I expected and on seeing it did not dine. Returned from the show at 11.05 that night to find the hotel, bar included, had shut down for the night...we had to ring the bell to gain access. The booklet in the room stated that the bar was opened until 23.30?. The breakfast (full Irish) was not what I remembered as a kid in Ireland , it was poor fare. Incidentialy the fire alarm went off at about 6.00 (am) just two loud blasts to wake very body up. The lasdy at check out later had no nowledge of the alarm. going off. The cleaner came and knocked at the door at 9.00 (seems like this hotel does not want guests to have a lie in. Definitely will not stay here again.

Wonderful Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/05
I found the staff of Wynn Hotel to be kind and incredibly helpful. I asked the front desk for help and directions and the person helped me out, even giving me a map. The hotel's location was perfect. The hotel is on Abbey Street, just a two minute walk to the Abbey Theatre and right by O'Connell Street. It was easy to get anywhere in Dublin from the hotel. My expereince there was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again.
