Esperides Hotel, Skiathos

We have just returned from spending 2 weeks at the Esperides hotel and can honestly say we have had a wonderful holiday. I cannot find anything to really moan about (and I am usually quite good at that) the food was always piping hot and there was always a choice - something for everyone, I really enjoyed their soups. We actually had a heat wave during our stay and the sand does become very very hot, good job we never had far to go to the sea. The taverna next door (Paradise Bar) was very good and provided the cheapest beer (Mythos). Everyone was so very friendly even the sparrows takes food from your hands. Our room was kept spotless by our cleaner Zoe. We enjoyed our water taxi rides that took us into Skiathos made a change from buses and taxis, and for only 2 Euros each way we thought this was good value for money. All in all we had a very good holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Liked almost everything, an absolutely brilliant hotel! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are cleaned daily, the food's variety is huge and the transportation to and from the hotel is without troubles.I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend some quality time in Skiathos.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. The beach is just a few steps from the rooms which was great. One of the best features was the food. It was the first time we had gone Half Board and were not disappointed by the quality, selection and quantity of food on offer. Something different every day to choose from. Cannot fault anything. The lack of any on site entertainment was not a problem as the bustling town was served by an excelleant bus service. We visited Skiathos 10 years ago and loved it. We were therefore afraid that we would be disappointed revisiting. We were relieved to discover that virtually nothing had changed on the island and had another great holiday. Definitely would return to this hotel again.

I had never been to greece before then and if everywhere and everyone is as great and fantastic as it was at the hotel espirades/ skiathos greece is fantastic.

Esperides Hotel is great! Very, very clean and comfortable the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food is lovely, they cater for everyone and its so clean.I'm disappointed people keep complaining there is no entertainment. One of the reasons its so nice there is because there is no entertainment. This hotel is calm and relaxing, you can get all the entertainment you like in town or just next door. I recommend this hotel, ive been there four times and cant wait to go back. Skiathos island is lovely!

Brilliant location, right on the beach. Staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Hotel is a "greek" 4 star, clean, pleasent rooms, air con, but simply furnished as most traditional greek properties are. Those people who love greece as we do will know exactly what we mean. As for the island, we are returning this June for our 5th time, and will always return. Fell in love with Skaithos in 1995. Can reccommend the Paradise Taverna on the beach, the Policritis Taverna in the town and the Admiral Benbow pub also in the town. Just highlighted 3 of our favourite places, but there are lots to explore, loads of lovely beaches, and hiring a boat for the day is a must, it's the only way to see the island. Skiathos is a must for any fan of Greece.
