loyal service
By Annie, 12/3/08
To work for the Jury’s Doyle is not a good career move I have been with the company now for 16 years starting pay £7,280 per annum as a chambermaid, and worked in many departments, Restaurant supervise, Reception shift leader, C&B co-ordinator and in 2005 I became Room service & Lounge manager starting pay £19,575.00 running two departments, in 2008 my pay is now only £21, 00.00 there has been no increase for the loyalty of service I have shown the company in 16 years, only yearly with inflation. I care and have so much respect for the staff I work along side, I cannot let this position affect my mental and physical health. I cannot accept a pay cut to, only £18,500.00 per annum to run three departments. Therefore, it is with great regrets I must leave the company and except redundancy . a one off payment of £855.72 is not much to show for 16 years loyal service.

Bad Beginning
By breandan, 7/7/07
We were given room 122 when we arrived on 3rd july 2007. Simply awful, room poky and tiny, fridge on floor.air conditioning on floor, iron on wall in full view of bed, bathroom tiny and door left un painted.Complained got another room on 4th floor after some talking, better room but bathroom tiny. Asked for an upgrade and got it the next day on 6th floor.Very nice room pity we didnt get it the first day!!!!! Breakfast was very nice no complaints. Head concierge excellent.Very close to shops!!!!!Dont know if i will be back. Mairead Mac Donncha.

Nice and quite, but a walk from the bus routes.
By SamS44, 6/21/05
We were booked into this Hotel by our Tour Company during a recent trip to London, Paris & Rome. The room was rather small, but acommodating. The Rest room was clean, but had no shower curtains so the floors & counters got wet. Guess it was a British thing. We had a free continetial breakfast with the room, it was okay, better then ordering from the menu, which I did the first morning, bad! The Bar/lounge was very nice and the service there was great, the staff at the hotel was the best part of the stay, they were all very helpful. The walk to where you could catch the bus, which is a great way to get around and see London was about 4 or 6 blocks depending on which way you you went. It was Cold at night (we where there May 11-15,05. So we took cabs quite a bit, at night & early mornings. We did not use or even see the pool.
