Millennium Bailey's Hotel, London

On our last trip to London this past June we stayed at the Millenium Bailey's Hotel. We were familiar with the area so were not surprised at the activity level and noise outside of the hotel. In fact, one of the reasons we chose this place was because of its location in Kensington; especially because of the Tube Station across the street and the fact that the lines that run out of this station can get you to many places easily.We even went to and from Heathrow from there. Back to the hotel... I had read a variety of reviews, some glowing and others not so. Apparently we lucked out with our time because we got a very nice, sizable room with two twin beds(at our request). The room was located at the front of the building, but the noise was not that bad, being that it was summer, Wimbledon season, in London. We found the decorating and atmosphere at the hotel to be tasteful, not stuffy or uncomfortable at all. Our beds were soft. The en-suite had VERY hot water, and was cleaned well every day. Service was great! We found the staff to be helpful and available when needed. A definite point to consider, you can get the traditional English Breakfast for 10 pounds CHEAPER(!) at the pub across the road. You can also go to the grocery across the street and get snacks and food for much more affordable prices than the room service offered. However, if feeling lazy, the hotel does have some good food for late night room service... Overall, we were VERY pleased with the Millenium Bailey's and will definitely return when we go back to London again.

this room is the last room at the end of a corridor.all through the night it was like sleeping with niagara falls.the noise of running water behind the wall in bathroom is like chinese torture. did not sleep a wink all night.i did report it but was told by maintenance to close the bathroom door which didnt make a scrap of difference.avoid this room if offered it as your health will suffer.

this hotel was awesome!excellent stuff,restaurant,lobby bar..the staff was wery friendly to us..by the way, this hotel is in the gr8 LOCATION, the SUBWAY is across the road..there are also so many stores there..example Abrercrobie&Fitch, H&M, Candy Store..also lots of museums and galleries, and nightlife is cool too..many bars and restaurants..Millenium Baileys Hotel ROCKS!:)

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location with an excellent price! Next to the Underground, off High Street and Kensington Palace... The rooms are large for London.

As others have commented, we found the Millenium Bailey's charming and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and the location can't be beat. The prices in the bar are outrageous and we found the service there slow (otherwise we'd have 5 stars for service). Location is terrific. Great combination of restaurants, delis, shops and charming residential.

This hotel was the most beautiful and most comfortable hotel that I have ever stayed in. Compared to the other hotels I stayed in in London, for the same price, this hotel is beyond wonderful. Bravo.

We happened upon this treasure of a hotel when it was offered as part of a great package deal. I've been to London many times but this was the best visit yet, in no small part because of this hotel. The location could not be beat - right across from the Gloucester Road tube station (with a direct line to and from Heathrow), Boots, Sainsburys, Tesco and Starbucks just across the street. The pub directly across from the hotel advertised "the Best Fish and Chips in London!" and they weren't lying! All this, and it was still a quiet neighborhood with plenty of charm. Inside the hotel, the rooms were perfect, with huge bathtubs in the bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the concierge secured us reservations for tea at the last minute, at Christmastime, with a smile. I hope all future visits to London will be spent at Bailey's - it is really a special place!

This was a great hotel! Location, Location, Location!!! Across from subway,Gloucester Rd.West Kensington. We had a great time back in Feb. It was cold but we got to do everything we wanted and were just around the corner from it. GO to this hotel! We will stay when we go back!
