Hotel Vinhuset has 57 beautifully restored rooms, all of which have bath, flat-screen TV, and free wireless internet. One of the rooms is a very special romantic bridal room and some of the rooms may be turned into family rooms. In that time, Alderman-Postmaster and Merchant Mathias Hansteen obtained a royal license to trade with wine and French distilled spirits in Naestved. His daughter, Maren Hansteen, bought the merchant's house on the corner of Vinhusgade and continued the wine trade and the house was therefore called Vinhuset. In 1766, she and her husband were authorized by the King to accommodate travelers and this was confirmed in 1778 when hotel Vinhuset obtained an actual royal license. The buildings in which the hotel is situated today were erected in three phases in the last part of the 1800s. Although the hotel was thoroughly renovated in 2006 you still feel the presence of history and you can rejoice in the successful combination of old and new. In the cellar exquisite food at popular prices is served. For people with a sweet tooth, it is good to know that the desserts on the menu card comprise mum??????s red fruit jelly with cream and old fashioned ecological lemon mousse. Naestved is a pleasant acquaintance. The hotel is so wisely situated that on the one side you have the cozy cobblestoned streets with the many specialized shops. On the other side, the River Susaaen, which slips peacefully by, and the woods Herlufsholm Skov invite lovely walks between the beech trees.
