Perelik my balls
By stan_ez, 1/20/08
In feb 2007 me and a few of my mates went skiing in the beautiful country of bulgaria. We went to the ski resort Pamporovo and stayed in the marvellous hotel 'Perelik'. I have been to this hotel 6 years in a row now and must say it is magnificent. On this particular occasion however, Perelik's tolerence of their customers was pushed to a limit. Our first night, after settling in ofcourse, consisted of major alcohol consumption. The primary beverage was a bottle of fine bulgarian wine, given to us free with a purchase of a bulgarian sim card (you gotta love the promotional strategy). Unfortunately we were not in possession of a cork screw therefore one of us had the ingenious idea of opening the bottle by pressing down the cork. In a nutshell, the previously white walls had nice red stains all over them... As time went on various items of furniture were thrown off the balcony and one of us smashed the glass door to the lobby bar with a bare arm. These were all ofcourse unintentional mishaps due to excessive alcohol consumption. So kids, dont drink. All in all the facilities at Perelik were more than satisfactory. Great pool, fitness suite and ofcourse the sauna with built in fat sweaty men to keep you company. Not to forget the vibrant nightlife offered by the all famous BJ's Bar... Theres only one way to find out. And look out for the odd phonecall from reception to warn you of that stray bear. We've booked our flights to go again this year. High five!

what a place!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/07
the people, skiing, snowboarding, sledging, skadoing not a thing wrong with any of them!! if you are looking for a down to earth, relaxing holiday then look no further, we were that impressed that we felt an urge to go back for a second time. Apart from the skiing there is no need to leave the hotel; fantastic food, shopping facilities, gym and swimming (not forgetting the sauna)and what a night that is offered to you, speaking of BJ's!! if you have been then you will no what i'am on about?! go and lok for yurself im sure you will love it!

no village but a great hotel complex ,joined to gether bye corridors, lined with cheap shops , if youve forgot any thing most things can be picked up there, night life is very good , its cheap. friendly, resort is small , loads of snow, busses to slopes take 10 minutes and stop around 11am start up about 3 pm, taxi chargers about 15 lev X2 as much as smolyn taxi so if going to 15 k town get towns taxi they will charge 15 lever to travel 15k, local will charge 30k,loads new appartments but they fail to expand resort as popularity increases, perelik is a big hotel prity central . pricess or ski pass double in 2006 ,some old lifts but they are going to update , sadly behind increase as torisium takes off. first time ski /board will love the soft snow.recomend trying different places to eat each night, little places just out side on the way to slope are realy romantic a must if you want Bulgarian old way of live. pamporovo is putting its self on the ski /boarding map . hotels of this look would cost so much in England, highly recomend you try this place even though small.

Great Skiing Average hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/05
8 of us traveled to Pamporovo. When we arrived the staff were extremly polite and friendly. We were shown to our rooms which were very basic and small, beds were only a couple of feet apart. The food was sometimes cold and plain but usually ok. Ski lifts had huge queues up to 30mins long. But ski school and ski runs were excellent. Everything was very cheap and great value for money. Brillant nightlife about 10 bars dotted the village. Great italian resturant in hotel complex. This is a great place to go on holiday however if you are looking for luxury try somewhere else.
