Hotel Alba Caracas, Caracas

I travel a lot with work and have stayed in a combination of nice cheap places, bad cheap places, nice expensive places and the Hilton, Caracas (expensive, bad). It's an old hotel and it shows (not in the classy sense). I'm staying for a week when every hotel in Caracas is full so have had to pay over USD $250 for a room on the "executive floor". The room is basic, small tv with bad reception, a broken phone and decor/fittings from the 60s. The bathroom is worse. Internet access is not included in any room here and is available at USD $15 extra a day. It's via cable modem and patchy at best. The executive lounge has 3 computers connected to the internet, only one of which can be used for a laptop. There is no WLAN. Breakfast is included in my rate. It's a buffet combination of cornflakes, juice, fruit. Nothing special and the fruit wasn't even fresh. The staff are nice but that's about all I can recommend. Stay somewhere else if you can.

i wouldnt have a doubt about staying at a Hilton hotel.It was a pleasant experience. the room service made me feel like a Queen. the ladies working there were so formal and well trained.

I enjoyed my stay at the Caracas Hilton. The service was friendly. The room was well maintained and clean. The restaurant options were good for a mainstream hotel although the vegetarian options were limited. My only complaints were that the fitness facility was closed at the time I was there and that the room was too cold for me and the heat did not work. Other than that, the location was great, the view was spectacular and I felt safe at all times. I would stay there again.

I have to say the accomadations were pretty good I had a great view from my 8th floor room. It was centrally located with lots of touristy spots nearby(museum of contemporary art right around the corner). The only thing that bothered me was being told I shouldn't go out walking alone at night, and then finding out I shouldn't go out at night because of the guy on the corner holding a machine gun. The other thing is most of the tour spots were closed with armed guards everywhere, and the sound of occasional gunfire not far enough away. Aside from those slight unpleasantries I had a great time. If the concierge tells you not to do something listen to him, he does know what he's talking about.

Excelent Hotel, great facilities and services. Confortable rooms, friendly staff and located near to the airport. Coozy and large pool, well kept and maintained

the hotel was wonderful! they offered many services to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel, the people, and the city are great! i recommend it!
