Hotel Caribe, Panama City

Never stay here, rooms are dirty, bed very bad, area is not secure, poor attention. My worst experience in hotels

i like everything. I really have no complaints. The staff was courteous and Breakfast is included, which is a plus. I am going back again december of 2008. And i will be bringing friends and family

Never again, this place can't be a real hotel. Beds were terrible , I had to get bleach and clean the bathroom myself. I got stucked at Caribe because of no availability anywere else. Save yourself plan ahead and avoid this dump

Hotel Caribe is ideally located in the Caladonia section of the city. A great way to be close to the Panama of the working class people. Outdoor sidewalk markets and the pedestrian La Central is a shopping experience, with fantastic bargains offered. The Hotel has recently been renovated. I have stayed in this Hotel dozens of times and have found the service to be friendly and distinctively Panamanian. The place is relatively secure and the restaurant serves great food at great prices. The Hotel has also cleaned since its renovation. This Hotel is not a bad place to stay if you are a down-to-earth person. First Class it is not. You get what you pay for.

The first thing I did was take a shower after my long trip. When I turned the water on, I was sprayed with black water. The room was fealthy and noisey. The sheets were dirty. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for another hotel.

Hotel Caribe had a seedy feel to it from our first moment. When we first walked into our room, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. We were surprised when, a moment after commenting on that, the maid emerged from the bathroom with a cigarette dangling from her lip! The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were itchy. The bathroom was sketchy enough to warrant wearing flip-flops in the shower. The drinks from the bar tasted like rubbing alcohol even though I specifically ordered 2nd shelf liquor. Overall, the place is just a dive.
