Rondel Village, Negril

I have been to Rondel Village twice now and I love it. I will not stay anywhere else when I visit Negril. The staff was amazing and friendly, they even remembered me from my first visit. The security is great. They make sure to keep the grounds safe and they look out for the guests. The rooms and the grounds are beautiful, lush and well manicured. The pool and jacuzzi are both great but I spent most of my time in the sea, which is litterly only a few feet away from the rooms (on the beach side). The food at Irie on the beach is great. I reccommend the Caribbean Curried Shrimp. I am already planning my winter vacation to go back. I love the place!

The restaurant is pretty but the food is only of mediocre tastes. The resort could not be cleaner. Found the location very pleasing and Montana's across the road is the best place to eat! Shrimp was delish and breakfast was to die for! Would return to both.

We stayed here in April for a week and had a nice relaxing stay. We stayed Gardenside after I read a number of reviews recommending that. Our teenage son got his own villa across from ours and we were the only ones there for 1/2 our stay, with the pool just steps from our door. It was hard to resist, since each villa was only $90. It was such a bargain. The beach was just fine and walking to all the neat restaurants was a breeze. We would return in a heartbeat.

I took my kids to the Rondel Village for spring break this year. I have never traveled before and didn't really know what to expect. The Rondel Village was everything I had hoped it would be. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The place is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back and see them, they are like long, lost friends.

Rondel is a great place to stay for families, or if you need extra room. The villas are flexible and can be rented as either 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, or 3-bedroom. They are on the beach side amid lush gardens, although only the one-bedroom or beachfront rooms actually have ocean views. The other rooms/villas are only a few steps from one of the best sandy beaches ever - calm and smooth and clean! The grounds are beautiful and well-cared for, and the housekeepers do a great job keeping the rooms/villas very clean. The staff (esp. security people) are helpful and friendly, and we always felt safe, because security watched out for everything and did not allow anyone on the property who did not belong there. The beach restaurant, Irie, is great, and Errol (the waiter) had a great sense of humor and provided wonderful service. There is a bar right on the beach, too. Other restaurants are an easy walk from the hotel. (Try Kuyaba for breakfast! Loved the bar swings for drinking coffee.) The single rooms are nice (very clean) and roomier than most for the price, but if you need two rooms or want extra space or kitchen, go ahead and rent a villa - complete kitchen, living room, extra bathrooms, dining on a wrap-around porch with hammock, and your own private hot tub in an attached courtyard. A two-bedroom villa won't cost you any more than two rooms would. The only problems we had were with booking accomodations, which almost caused us to have our trip cancelled. (We had a hotel/flight package.) The hotel overbooked our 2-bedroom villa and, if it had not been for Travelocity, we would have lost our reservatio

Stayed April26- May 3 2006 and loved this place so much. Like a little lush tropical paradise in the middle of 7 mile beach. We stayed garden side and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Large Clean nicely decorated rooms, lush well groomed grounds and pools. Very nice and caring staff. Immaculate beach. Resturant was good but could use more selections. Does not matter with all the food choices in Negril within walking. I miss ROndel and will be back soon!! One Love!

We stayed in the villas on the other side of the street from the beach. It was a great room for simpler travelers. If you are looking for a resort, with all kinds of amenities, Rondel is not for you. If you would like a very nice place to rest your head and hang out in, it is a great place. The grounds are well maintained, and the staff are pleasant and very helpful. There are two fantastic pools and hot tubs in the complex. The beach is beautifully kept and the bar makes it perfect. The room was very comfortable and the location is dead center of Negril. It is about a mile walk to get into downtown Negril. This walk is very pleasant along the beach or on the road. I would definitely stay at ROndel again and recommend it to friends and family.

My friends and I have been to Negril in Jamaica several times. We always stay at the Rondel Village because the villas are right on the beach! The staff is wonderful, and the food is good. It's a great place to stay for both families and singles. I highly recommend it, and I can hardly wait to go back.
