Never a dull day
By ,
This place was simply fabulous! Couldn't ask for a better location, great food, wonderful staff. I am going back soon. Weather is great, ocean is crystal clear. The hotel is right along the shore, all the pics from websites are accurate. Value is the main idea here with all-inclusive drinks that would normally cost a fortune in another country.

Very enjoyable, BUT
By ,
Just returned from Divi Aruba all inclusive. The rooms were typical motel rooms nothing exceptional. The hotel location right on a beautiful expansive beach was A+++. The friendliness of the staff and their attention to you was great. The alcohol included some top shelf brands and the bar service was always friendly and quick, I did tip on a regular basis. The meals were okay, breakfast was good, buffet style, plenty available, the lunch was adequate, now for the BUT, the dinners left something to be desired. Would plan on visiting other establishments for a good evening meal. I suffered for last 2 days with what I will refer to as intestinal distress. Watch what you eat. Folks we met there were friendly and great to talk with, good crowd.

You can do better
By ,
If you travel to great locations and like good service and food in a clean location, you can do better. Let me just say, I looked all the reviews and think the other reviews are from those who don't travel much. We love Marriott's and thought we would try this for a change - mistake #1. We always stay at 5 star locations and this is at best a 2 star. You needed to tip everyone all the time to get service - tipped $300 just at the bar. The food tasted like cruise food buffet, even at the so called restaurants. Do not travel on Sunday since most people take that day off and you wait for hours to do anything. Keep an eye on your bill daily. We met a couple there that won a two week free stay and said they would never return and I fully understand. There is no price/value to this location. One more thing, I am in this business and know good from bad, YOU CAN DO BETTER!

Always a pleasure!!
By ,
Want the kick back and forget what day it is relaxation? Voila! It is the best hotel to stay at. My wife and I have been there 7 times, and each time its more and more pleasant. The staff really makes you feel welcomed. We spent countless days and nights on the beach at the Divi Divi. Awesome pool and love the Parrots. Always recommend this place to anyone who asks me about Aruba. El Gacho is the other can't miss! Bon Bini, CAT

Better Than I Thought !
By ,
Me and my wife were at the Divi for our honeymoon. The location is great. It did not feel overcrowed. The staff is very nice. We loved the bars a variety of drink to choose from. The Red Parrot has awesome food. I highly recommend the Divi! I would go back again.

Repeat Visitor
By ,
We have been to the Divi 10+ times. The staff is wonderful and the beach is now huge. The beach used to be more narrow quite a few years ago. The pizza is great and available 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 a.m. Drinks are not watered down and I usually have to say to make my drink "weak", of course the bartenders think this is a riot. Divi guests get to use the Tamarijn, and starting in 2007, all Tamarijn guests will be able to use the Divi (it is not currently like that, you need to pay more for the use of the Divi). Most areas have been remodelled since we have been going to this resort, the pool, lobby, casita rooms, Vista I & II rooms, pizza bar, beach bar (which unfortunately washed into the water when we were there one Nov. ('99?), the Red Parrot and the buffet. The only things we have not seen them work on has been the Lanai rooms, but they could have been done, we just did not see it happen. We go for New Year's and it is the best time to be there, they have fireworks from about Dec. 27 through New Year's Eve. They are gorgeous! We also go in Nov. and March for a couple weeks each. Can't get enough of the Divi!

Counting the days until we return!
By ,
We have stayed at the Divi All Inclusive for three years now. It is an excellent value. Wonderful staff, great food, and definately the best beach in Aruba. They make you feel like you are coming "home" when you return from year to year. The staff is excellent...the rooms were super clean...the maid even mopped the sidewalk in front of our door everyday! The bars have call liquor and they do not skimp! Even though this is an "all inclusive" and tips are included, we tipped the waitstaff at each meal, as well at the bartenders everyday and the maids, golf cart drivers, bellmen, and the omlette man/eggs benedict lady at breakfast. Those few extra dollars out of our pockets are nothing to us...but sure bring a smile to the staff's face. They are very hard workers and wonderful people. As far as security...there was lots...but this is a very safe place.

Excellent time
By ,
My wife and I just spent our honeymoon at the Divi. It was fantastic. The staff is friendly, the food was good and the adult beverages were plentiful. We will be spending our 1st anniversary at the Divi next March.
