Posada del Mar, Isla Mujeres

It was go laid back. The staff was so friendley. It was close to the beach, and walking distance to town. The room was very clean had A/C and a T.V.. Had a room on the second floor with a great view of the beach and ocean. You could just walk across the street and you are on this great beach. My gentleman friend and I stayed there for a week, Wish we could of stayed longer We both fell in love with this place and the Island. Diffently will be going back

We have been going there for thirteen years and we never tire of it .We only stay at the Posada.Romy is the best. I cry every time I have to leave these people. Look it's not the Ritz. Go go to the hotel to shower, sleep and a little a/c. The new pool is great, and when the new bar opens you wont be able to find a seat. Go there with an open mind. Your in Mexico. Not New York .Relax and enjoy, go with the flow.

I was here in 1997 with my daughter and loved it. I have wanted to return since then but just did not have the oportunity. This visit was even more wonderful than the first as I brought my fiance with me this time. I knew he would love it as much as I did. This is truly the ideal place to just relax. You are truly in paradise on Isla. The people are wonderful and the island is still unspoiled by tourism. The locals are loving, kind and trusting. Everything is close by and the hotel and staff are wonderful. The hotel and rooms are kept immaculately clean and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The pool is beautiful and very private, has an open thatched roof bar (really neat place) adjacent with a wonderful staff. Wonderful food everywhere on Island. We will return!!!

The Posada del Mar had everything we needed for our trip: beds, a bathroom, and A/C. There was also a balcony and a cable TV, but we never turned it on. The restaurant attached to the hotel is not part of the hotel. We got breakfast there several times. The food was good, but there are much better places to eat on Isla. The staff at the bar was friendly, and we got tequila slammers on the house several times. The bar has top shelf alcohol as well as local drinks. Guests get a chair on the beach, right outside the front door (more or less) and the hotel serves drinks out on the beach. I don't think the floors were swept most days we were there, and my friends, none of whom have takes a Spanish class had trouble communicating with the housekeeping staff. Our toilet was also not working right and we had to figure out how to fix it our selves. The bar also closes pretty early (if I remember right, before midnight).

I loved it there the service was great the people were so nice and fuuny. I loved were it was at it wasnt to loud or quite we were just a quick walk away from the beach and the shops. I loved it and cant wait to go back. It is a very relaxing place to go.

The price was great. During low season, the two of us stayed a week for about $350. The rooms were clean and since we were up on the second floor of the new building, we had a balcony. The minute you walk out the front door, you see the beach. The restaurant is not run by the hotel. We ate there only once. We found a much better place less than a hundred yards away. Go out the door, turn left walk around the corner. There is a crepe shop that is wonderful. The front desk became a little friendlier as the week went on.

The location is great! I hope the Posada is the same as it was. I understand Wilma hit Isla pretty hard. The staff was helpful and friendly.

this is by far the best place on isla to stay. at less than $50 usd/day it's a real bargain. the staff is wonderful, the rooms clean and comfy and the best bar and bartenders on isla are here to make you happy. and they do.

The bartenders where great, pool was cool, and I can't wait to get back there again. The food was great, will have to get the nachos de pollo.

Great service and such welcoming locals! I can't wait to visit again!
