Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand, Zona Hotelera

Service is ok except for the bartender guy who tries to over charge thinking you are drunk - one of you needs to stay sober - Hotel and beach were very clean. Hurray for the Custodial & Mainteance staff. I thought the pricing was ridiculous - breakfast buffet $22. p/person Mexicana Decepcionada ;-(

I loved the view!The view outside our room was amazing,you can see the beach and the pools.The pool was so cool!It had beds and bar place(It had soft drinks and many more)You can order food at the pool.The malls are not very far away from the hotel.They have peacocks at the hotel,they are just walking around.They food there was good(the best meals for lunch and dinner are "Tuna Pita,Club Sandwich,Cheese Burger")

We just got back and thought I'd share our view of this hotel. Here are the pros: The view from our room was incredible. The facilities, rooms, restaurants, and pools were very nice as was the private beach. The food was very good and offered a good variety. There were many restaurants and stores close to the hotel. The staff was pretty friendly, but not five-star class service. Here are cons: The maid service was just ok; she forgot towels one day and toilet paper another and soap yet another day. Everything was very expensive (don't go to Cancun if you're expecting good Mexican bargains). The disco across the street can be heard through the whole night. We got bitten by something in our room: mosquitos, bed bugs, or god know what.

1. Bad customer service at front desk: they are rude, not very courteous & lied about telling us that we couldn't bring in alcohol from outside of the hotel (eg: could not bring a 6 pack of Dos Equis into the hotel room. they will prevent you from bringing it in). Also, when the ice machine broke, we told them but they never fixed so we had to up the next level to get ice. 2. The coffeemaker was filthy, old and the filter had sand in it. It looked like it was salvaged from a yard sale. 3. They have a fridge that was fully stocked but you cant put anything in there unless you take the items out & you shouldn't do that bc they charge you for taking items out. 4.There are bugs in the room. Bed bugs bit me while I was sleeping. 5. The hotel has not been maintained well. The shower door wouldn't close, the sink faucet was broken, the decor was outdated, there was contruction going at the next hotel with 3 bulldozers on the beach. 6. Worst thing was, I was changing my clothes and one of the service man walked into our room w/o knocking the door. Apparently he walked in to unlock the fridge door (yes the fridges are locked & they will only unlock it when you give them your credit card info.) They never apologized nor could speak any English.

Just got back from a week there. First of all, did not get the deluxe room we were promised. They were all out. By 7 o clock at night on two different nights, the room still did not get cleaned, and we were told that they do not have maids assigned to every room. Waited an hour and a half after ordering to get luch. Service and attitute are terrible

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe Resort! The view from our balcony was just breathtaking! The room was very nice and always very clean. The service was just excellent. The beds were firm, but we slept like babies on them with no trouble at all. And we did not notice any noise at night at all! We really had a wonderful stay and hope to go back in the next couple of years to the same hotel. The swimming pools were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and always clean. You do have to pay for the coffee if you use it there, not like the hotels in the USA, so bring your own! But that is true in almost all the hotels there. And we had to pay for internet service, it is not free there. It was $16.00 USD a day, quite expensive. We really loved Cancun, and took the city bus everywhere we went for just $.60 each person (60 cents)! Much cheaper than cabs, lots of tourist there rides the bus so it is quite safe! This is really a great hotel to stay at, we recomend it to anyone!

Cons -Across the street from a disco. The music goes from Midnight to 5am. You can hear it in every building in the hotel. -The beds are hard -They don't have tennis courts or a jogging track as promised -The fitness center is the size of a closet with no free weights -They don't do turn down service nor do they wash the floors in the room -We didn't have a privacy sign nor did we have laundry bags. Pros -Everyone was really nice -The regency club food was amazing -The pools are beautiful -The water is safe and purified -The shops had nice stuff -The staff bends over backwards to help -The room was really nice -The view was breath taking -Arrange great tours to the ruins -In a prime location

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are very nice and friendly. The service is excellent. I loved the ocean view and spent alot of time on the balcony. The pool is amazing also. Very impressed with the security there. Would definetly stay there again. My daughter and her friends had an excellent time. We all had fun partying in the clubs. It was Senior Trip and the Gradweek Staff were wonderful also. The only dislike was that the beds were not too comfortable. The mattresses are too hard!

We just got back from a 4 night vacation and had a WONDERFUL time. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but things could not have been better. No time share people bugged us, the service as FANTASTIC, and the location is within walking distance of anywhere you would want to go. The food is the only thing that I was not impressed with, although for Cancun I guess it was OK. You will have a difficult time finding good food anywhere in Cancun. We did eat at 2 nice restaurants. One was Lorenzillos and the other was The Crab House. I would highly recommend both of them. We stayed in the Regency building. It is well worth it to upgrade to this. Our room was HUGE and we had a nice sized hot tub on our balcony. Breakfast and mid afternoon hor'deurves and drinks are included with this room. The pools are beautiful including canopy beds for a little romantic siesta. If you are hesitant to stay at this hotel, Don't be. You will certainly not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!
