OK, but you'd better like noise...

My daughter and I stayed here to see the Red Bull air races.
The hotel is looking a bit worn; The hallways are definitely showing their age. One of the elevators was out of service, which meant that the sole remaining one got backed up at times.
The room itself was 85% fine. It was clean, the bed was comfy, etc. The bathroom fan ( which can't be turned off ) made a constant whine, which would have been irritating, except it was drowned out by the noise elswhere.
Our room was on the 8th floor, facing Ouellete Ave. And holy cow, it was loud Saturday night. REALLY loud. Between the nightclub directly across the street, the bars, the cars constantly roaring up and down the street and then peeling out, the yells and screams of the people on the street, it was non-stop noise from about 7:00PM to 2:30AM. Combine that with the numerous, obviously drunk ( or in the process of getting drunk ) people in the surrounding rooms, and it was a madhouse. 90% of the people there seemed to be college students whose sole purpose was to party.
So if you fall into that category - this may be just the place for you. If not, and you actually want to get some sleep, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.
