Lovely atmosphere & Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/08
My husband and I came to the Pillar & Post to celebrate my 40th birthday. It is costly to stay here, but I was thrilled with our room. We were in the spa wing, with a king bed (soft as a cloud), a sitting area and a lovely bathroom. Were very comfortable, and although the location of the Inn doesn't allow for fantastic views, I was surprised at how quiet our room was at night. Very relaxing. Loved the pool and the hot tub, and the bathrobes provided so that I didn't need to bring a "cover-up". We ate one dinner here, unfortunately seated near the kitchen and alongside a large party with many children, so it was a little noisy. The food was fine, but not necessarily worth the cost. Our server was excellent, despite the fact that he was clearly overwhelmed by the number of tables he had. Overall, I'd stay here again, but skip the restaurant and go down the road to The Irish Harp Pub to eat. I recommend this inn to couples and small wedding parties.

Loved it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/07
Exceptionally friendly, helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you. Thank you to you all Though the bedrooms are a bit dark (but that's part of the old world charm) the beds were exceptionally comfortable and room large enough for two sets of ladies sharing! Location was lovely though the first time we walked into "town" it seemed a long way, but by the end of our 4 great days there it was a breeze! All 4 of us would love to go back and here would be our destination.

I will become a spa regular!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/07
Beautiful spa!! I went to get a hot stone massage while my husband had a pint at a local Irish pub. I can't say enough about the spa. It was so very clean. Surely worth the money. I spent $110 but I used the pool, suana, hot springs and had an amazing massage....I was there for two and a half hours and could have stayed 4 more.

Heaven on Earth!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/07
We stayed in February and had a new-born with us. They had put us in a room in the outbuildings but quickly accomodated us for having to walk in the bitter cold with a baby. We were upgraded, free of charge, to a beautiful suite. The service was AMAZING! My husband owned a restaurant and was very interested in their kitchen set-up so he was given a 2-hour tour with the head chef, on-the-spot! I had a 1 1/2 hour massage which melted any new mommy woes away...and then to sit in the hot tub in a snow storm was blissful. We have and will continue to recommend this fabulous spa to anyone looking for a special get away.

flawless "location wedding"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/06
We had a small wedding, with 50 guests in the cozy "Olde Library" (and their kids in the adjacent "Secorde Room"). Our guests traveled to Niagara-on-the-Lake from Seattle, Silicon Valley, Austin, and various towns around Ontario; the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we all felt warmly welcomed and well cared for throughout our stay. We highly recommend the Pillar and Post for your parties, meetings and get-togethers!

My bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/06
on October 21 I had the misfortune of stopping with my wife and 94 year old mother of coffee and cake at the Pillar and Post in Niagara on the Lake. We were directed to the lounge. The waitress immediately brought us coffee, and told us there were only 3 items to choose from the menue prior to 5 pm. It took 40 minutes before we were served, the cake was mediorce at best and the price outrageous. Had it not been for my elderly mother, getting in and out of the car, we would have been gone a long time ago. Needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed in our experience, and it will be a long time -if ever- befor I return to this restaurant.

Not worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
We found our room small and noisy. The restaurant was average for above average prices. The location was good and front desk was helpful. I would not stay there again.

Terrible service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/06
Very poor service. Extremely old and worn out furniture. I typically stay at the Four Seasons or the Intercontinental Hotels. The room was pungent like old socks. Response from the hotel desk and the manager was disappointing for supposedly a good quality inn/motel. I DO NOT recommend staying here.
