Holiday Inn St. Catharines Nor, St Catharines

My husband, myself and our two young children stayed here for a night during the Labour Day Long Weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The fitness room & pool were great, the rooms were clean and adequate. Plenty of Dining options within walking distance, and the Falls is only a 10 minute drive away. The value was exceptional for the amenities. We especially liked the room service which was affordable and the TIMOTHY'S CAFE located right in the hotel lobby. Would definately recommend it.

First the pros: Our room was clean. The front desk person did accommodate us when we arrived a day earlier than our reservations were set for. It took an entire day, but we did get 4 extra pillows for our beds. Having the bowling alley and restaurant next door were convenient. Now the cons: The beds were a step up from a cot. They were very uncomfortable and quite "dead". Our room was right next to a door that led to the main lobby so that you heard people opening (and closing) that door first light of day. The people traffic outside our room was heavy and noisy. The pool was cloudy during our entire stay of 3 nights. Also the pool was much smaller than the photos depict. The water in the whirlpool tub was smelly. All in all I really wish I would have just spent a bit more money and stayed in the heart of all of the action. Take it from me, if you are trying to budget, the gas money and amount of time you spend traveling back and forth to the falls is not worth the savings. I made my choice from others reviews of this hotel and so I hope to help someone else to avoid this place.
